that's the joke. sorry I forgot to put /end sarcasm on itElPatron said:- If it hits, it's not a warning shotwerewolfsfury said:they should have given him a warning shot with a taser into his leg.
- Taser electrodes can be stopped by clothes. People with hoodies have escaped taser shots in the head without incapacitation
- Tasers are quite effective, but you can't be 100% sure of incapacitation. People on drugs can shrug off the shock.
- There is no such thing as a warning shot. If you have a gun, you NEVER point it at something you don't want to hit, so you keep the muzzle facing the threat. Shooting at the air can cause an innocent person getting shot from more than a mile away, shooting at the ground can cause a ricochet
Looks like some one can't withstand a little jab (good lord, I hope that works).bojackx said:You guys are being very offensive, you need to cut it out.

Gunfire isn't a matter of pointing and shooting.C F said:I'm assuming he had the option of choosing either a point-and-shoot route
Oh, so you are cherry picking?Chairman Miaow said:Anything ya'know, within the last 50 years?
Soldiers going off to war? Oh, yeah.ElPatron said:There is a lot of emotional baggage when pointing a gun at someone. During WWI it was found that most people will not shoot the first time they have an enemy on their sights. That's where the "silhouette" targets come from.
Anyway, it takes a special kind of brutality to point a loaded gun at someone unless you're a kid and you don't understand the consequences.
You do know that the Allies were convinced that the Axis soldiers would invade hospitals and burn sick people alive, throw babies in the air and stab them with bayonets, right?C F said:Soldiers going off to war? Oh, yeah.
People who never wanted to kill, but are put in the situation anyway? That's an ordeal.
That's an observation I have found as well. If we take into account that the people serving in the US are volunteers and grew up in the 80's-90's, their condition to shoot for the first time is very high because of superior training methods... and the fact that they are very likely to have been exposed to videogames, which allows some people to ease in the idea of killing humans.Liquidacid23 said:most of the time people have problems with it AFTER the shooting is done not before especially first time shooters... also, in my experience, most of those who aren't willing to shoot are doing it out of fear and cowardice for themselves not for concern over who they are supposed to be shooting at
It's disgraceful, I agree.FoolKiller said:Can a mod please shut this thread down. I've read the first page and every comment is just taking cheap shots at it. I find it reprehensible that a bunch of people can just make fun of the fact that someone did despicable things to their family. None of these individuals have done anything relating to a discussion regarding this matter.
It's about the 5th time this pun is used.Liquidacid23 said:true the mods need to try an carve this kinda of behavior out of this forum...
