Also, what's up with the Helghast design? They look like the Combine soldier guys from Half Life 2, except with their stuff spray painted black, because this game loves black.
If you compare those two than I have to say that the Combine soldiers look like the Helghast without the black.

I don't like it that the new Helghast eyes are brighter though. It is a bit irritating.

I'm just calling them as I see them. I found out that the demo does have a 'Call of Duty" control setup, and even then, I'm still 'meh'. Maybe if I could actually look around easily, I would feel different. Also, it is a pain in the balls tell where you're being shot from sometimes.

And I hate those open-air dropship things. Really, really hate them. Opening reminds me of the intro to Saving Private Ryan; the boats storming Normandy.

Yeah I also had problems finding the enemy which shot me. I hoped that there would be arrows or something that tells you were the enemy is.

You get bloodstains at where the enemy is shooting you from. Unfortunately, they stay to show how much you've been hurt, and it really obscures your view.

Also, why do I have a knife when I just thwack everything with my gun? I can only guess there will be a level where I"ll lose my guns and need to rely on that knife, but still, why couldn't he just stab with the knife?

When using a two handed weapon, generally using the rifle butt is easier thamn getting out your knife., Switch to the pistol and you'll have your knife.
But why do I have a knife in the first place? I'm not going to bother switching to my pistol or knife just to melee someone when my gun does the same thing, there are no cool death-sequences to differentiate them, and even if I did have a pistol, why not just pistol whip them?

Actually Killzone doesn't rip off Half Life 2 at all.

It rips off Jin Roh. Oh how it rips off Jin Roh.

Not a ps3 owner, so what do the wall textures look like? I remember earlier footage which made wall textures look like a pile of crap.

Well I have played the demo 10 times now (took a couple tries to get the special rifle to fall down) so I think that it is safe to call the game...STUPENDOUS!
Special rifle? Whosajiggawha?
Is that japanese? It really sounds like it.

I really want to know how well the multiplayer is going to hold up when it goes live. That's my sticking point - if the multiplayer doesn't hold up well or I have to sacrifice a few kittens to get into a game, my opinion of the game is going to drop a few points.

My experience with nearly every game like this is that it was massively fun and engaging in single player/beta multiplayer mode, but the instant it's released and goes live, the experience somehow seems to break like glass on concrete.

Also, why the hell I can't blind fire? The Helghast do it all the time, but I'm not allowed? What's up with that?
Didn't you just have to hit fire and not touch the analog button while behind cover to blind fire? I'm not sure, I found I didn't need to blind fire, but I might go check that one out... gives me another excuse to play it lol.

As for why do you have the knife? Cause its badass pretty much.

Did you never play as Luger in Killzone 1? Sprinting though a Helghast ridden trench with knife equipped and spamming stab? Very inefficient but very fun way to play.

No, I never played Killzone 1. But, I can thwack people with my "Looks sorta like a real-life rifle with real-life reflex-type scope" rifle and kill them. And no, you stand-up/popup to fire. Is there a way to duck down when taking cover at low walls? The Hellghast clearly have no interest in chest high walls, it's very irritating to be hiding in cover and being shot by the guy whose on the other side of the wall.
