Agreed lol. We needed a SAS team, all with the British accents lol, like the one in COD4, screw Rico and his "My gun is bigger than yours" squad, I want Captain Price and a covert squad instead. The Helghast won't know what hit them lol. Finally, you should try the game, have you played the demo???
I've decided to get it, and yeah i did, quite bad in fact, just like HAZE's demo, probably why i didn't like it XD
Well, maybe it wasn't the sort of game you like, but still try and get a chance to play the full game and try the online, it does grow on you. Also, for the record, I dont hate the characters, but I do agree we need some British support in the game lol.
Pretty much, its america saves this, america saves that, gets on my nerves.
And that's one reason why I loved COD4, it was all thanks to the British guy, Soap and the SAS team that we killed the terrorist leader and stopped the nuclear warheads from destroying half of America, the Americans were just in the background during that lol.
Say hello to reality and wave goodbye to self righteousness

The thing to remember about Killzone 2 Multiplayer is that it is a separate game in its own right - rather than designing one game mode and tacking the other on half-arsed like most game companies do, they made them both individually.

The Assault Class is indeed a pain in the ass, but they can be turned off.

erm you said you play a single player campaign to completion before you start the multiplayer? generally fair enough, but i found the single a little tedious, and jumped online before i was very far into the game. the multi IMHO is awesome, coming from playing a lot of online bad company, killzone 2 has a much faster pace with smaller maps, rather then having humvees boats etc to get to the enemy, you can generally spawn within sight of them, spawn grenades and squad help here as well. in short the demo is a good representation of the way the single player looks, it has the feel about it. but the online is quite different. i would really suggest you rent it if your not sure, but keep in mind that you have to unlock EVERYTHING, from more grenades when you spawn to more ammo, not to mention every class and ability under the sun. it's a fun experience, but takes awhile to get going. you mentioned you liked the sniper style class? the sniper is the last weapon/class you unlock, then you need to get 5 (or was it 10) kills in a round with the sniper rifle for 8 rounds to unlock a greater magnification. like i said, it's a great game, but the items are really drip fed to you slowly. having said that, give it a try, i really do enjoy it

It's a great game no doubt, excellent graphics, the multiplayer graphics are especially impressive (considering how seamlessly they run).

Personally I'm not a huge console FPS fan. I was raised on pc FPS (TFC especially) in that sense the pacing of the multiplayer is a little slow for me. The controls felt a tad sluggish to me (and to many others for that matter). When questioned on it, Guerilla said it was an intentional design choice to make your character feel "heavy" as you are large, bulky, and carrying lots of gear. Personally I didn't buy that, I play games for fun not realism. When controls feel sluggish, it hinders the game for me, especially when I'm used to the speed and precision of the keyboard/mouse.

I heard they had patched the controls to make them feel more fluid and responsive, and but I haven't played for a few months. I went back to playing TF2 and L4D on PC. I'll pick it up again some time, as the multiplayer in principle was excellent. The unlocks were a little tedious to unlock, but some people like that feeling of character progression. Myself... I prefer everything to be unlocked from the start. The maps are good though, the graphics are solid, the gameplay (minus the semi-sluggish controls) was excellent as well. It's deffinately a buy if you have a PS3.

I just wish more people on the PS3 used their headsets. Sony should really consider throwing in a blue-tooth headset as one of the accessories in the console package. I think it would greatly stimulate their online experience.
