And I dont know why split screens do this when your already cutting the screen in half but they also chop off more of the screen so one is in the upper left hand corner and one is in the lower right hand corner. This helps nothing!
It keeps the two screens in the same aspect ratio of the native resolution. Otherwise you either have to crop and limit your view or stretch and make everything look bad.
Then why have so many other games done it and it looks great?
Tell me the other games that look as good as KZ3 and is coop. All the great coop games these days aren't benchmarking the systems.
When you play the co-op the game no longer looks good.

LOL yes it does, I have played the demo today with my bro (took a long ass time, 1522 mb) the game still looks awesome. Not KZ3 awesome but on KZ2's level

Whats weird is I did the co-op again today and the frame rate wasn't as buggy. It must have been having problems the first day. Everything else I speak about the co-op is true though.

I dunno, I played co-op with my friend the other day in the single player demo of the game and it was fine for us. I don't really plan to play co-op with anyone, but I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't like online co-op.

And I can't believe nobody's pointed this out yet but;
[HEADING=3]you bought the game?[/HEADING] The game doesn't come out until the 22nd in the US, and later for other regions. There's no way, unless you're talking about the single player demo (which I highly doubt [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.264679-Killzone-3-Leaks-to-Torrent-Sites]), that you would know how co-op works, or how the single player campaign is.

So, if my suspicions are correct, and if they are wrong I do apologize, I'd say you deserve those bad experiences you pirate.

EDIT: And on top of that, you say you haven't played the co-op? Then how do you know about these complaints? Sure, reviewers have pointed out some of these flaws, but you're original post makes it look like you're friggin' offended by the co-op that you haven't played. I smell fishes here.

I'm also surprised to hear that you have played KZ3 to its completion and thoroughly played the MP to make your statement....or even played KZ2 for more than 5 minutes for that matter.
Ah, I see I am not the only suspicious Sam here.

You want your friend to "feel part of the game" but you want the ability to progress through levels without him even after he's died? Yeah sounds you're like complaining about stuff just for the sake of it.
they should let you spawn on your partner after a set time or as soon as he hits the checkpoint witch isn't incredibly far away. Im not saying leave his ass till the next level lol. I get where your coming from but when you play this game and your almost done with a long fight and someone falls or miss judges how for down a jump is and they die. Gets old real fast let me tell you.
i get what your saying, gears of war does it perfectly where you bleed out until your partner can come revive you, which is actually an ADVANTAGE as the single player doesn't allow this to happen, if you get downed, your done, the computer ally can't come revive you which is fucking bogus
It's stupid. Ubisoft also did this for Rainbow Six Vegas 2.
The First Vegas was great, you could revive your friend if they were downed, and perform a whole bunch of tactical manouvres while breaching and clearing.
Then in the second game they dumbed it down and removed the option to revive your teammate... what the hell?

Yeah, that doesn't sound so great.
To be honest, as a 360 owner, I'm really not that devastated about missing Killzone 3.
Uncharted 3, however, is a whole different story...

agreed, i'd almost always rather have the more complicated/branched type of gameplay than the simplified one, which sequels always tend to pump out worse versions of its former game...

Mass Effect 2 is a huge culprit of this bad game redesign.
*shudder* So oversimplified, that and call of duty 4 and onwards.

Same, I played it with my friend, and not only did we have a blast but their wasn't an ounce of framerate drops or lag. It was great. (SP Demo)
