So apparently with their new Kinect device Microsoft can now watch as you play. Or record you talking. To be honest I'm finding it rather creepy. Here's hoping it doesn't have a standby option.

On the plus side. I'm sure Microsoft will be getting plenty of videos of men playing with themselves.

Keep in mind that Microsoft are aiming this at children. And are wanting to record what they do.

Cus Children totally won't leave that camera on and go do other stuff.

I would like to say I'm surprised, but this is what I was thinking Kinect would be able to do from the start. It's probably in the fine print somewhere, that everyone agrees to that no one reads, that allows them to do this.

This would reduce the impact of Psycho Mantis-esq encounters. Imagine in a future Halo, fighting a Prophet and hearing a phrase like,

"So, you like Viva Pinata?" or, "HA! Fool, anybody could have unlocked all of the achievements in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix!"

those examples are of old games but you get where I'm going with this.
