To be fair, Kinect isn't one of these things that just seem to be "OMG I must have it NOW!" like most games are.

They need more time (and more decent titles) to really show this thing off before they can expect people to flock to stores to buy it.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be comparing these numbers to. Were there projected figures from last week and the actual result falls short? Did Move do THAT much better?

Without any frame of reference, these are just statistics and you are making something out of nothing ("I doubt they're happy").

I'm not really surprised, personally. Although I'm impressed with some of the things the kinect is able to do, I didn't expect it to be flying of the shelves. I plan on getting one eventually, but there's some other things I'd like to get my hands on first.

Well I'm going to wait just a little longer to see how this turns out. I'm not going to lie though I think people are going to go to "Move" more than they will "Kinect". I guess time will tell after the holiday season.

How very surprising, an overpriced gadget designed to cash in on a market that's already changing that came out just before the Christmas rush didn't do fantastically in the first week.

Doesn't surprise me at all. I know I have no interest in the thing.

I have a Wii, it mostly collects dust, I don't need another dust collecting device. Motion gaming gets really old, really fast.
