Actually, a lot of people don't know about Kinect, yet I can't help suspect this may be a troll thread despite the OP's very low post count.

Here's the thing: Microsoft has, yes, been hyping it up like crazy--in gaming publications that've taken an interest in it, mostly, and if you don't read gaming publications then you've basically been in the dark about this thing called the NATAL that's been talked about a little bit here and there. It shows up in the news elsewhere every once in a while, but to give you an idea of how low-profile this has actually been outside our little world it wasn't until I visited home two weeks ago that my parents heard of it and they're licensed Microsoft product distributors themselves. We gamers, though, we drag every bit of information out of these companies even before they've officially named their product. Really, it's probably only since E3 this year that the rest of the world has been remotely privy to this information.

It's his third post, and he's on THE ESCAPIST there's a news story about Kinect like, once a day.

I must admit I forgot about Kinect. I remember seeing it in Edge Magazine but dismissed it as crap like the eye toy. Since E3 my opinion hasnt really changed xD

Playstation Move can actually work precisely and with hardcore games. I wonder how Xbox gamers would allegdedly be able to play Fable 3 with kinect if you can't MOVE. I doubt they force you to run in spot as it would frusrate 99% of gamers really quickly.

Anyway, 3rd post ever, supposedly hasn't heard of Kinect/Natal on a GAMING WEBSITE, I call ads.
But come on, Microsoft spammed this thing al over the Internet, it's been all over the TV's if gaming is mentioned.
I can't stand any sort of motion control thingymajiggies (barring of course the Wii, because of Guitar Hero and drunken siblings ) and I actually paid attention to this.

Kinect would be way better if Pokémon was on the 360:

Start a battle by swinging your cap to face the other way.

Stand in a determined pose for MASSIVE DAMAGE.

Point and shout moves to make your pokémon do them!

Ah well, at least we'll be able to pretend we're birds by 'flapping our wings' in the inevitable flying game...

Actually Halshin, it may be more affordable than you think. My friend owns one and he loves playing on it.
