That's a relief, I almost wished I had Kinect for a second, there.

Fable I was lacking, Fable II was miles better, I only hope Fable III continues the trend of making the last game look like crap by comparison.

Kinect would just be some optional waving around to cast a spell or swing a sword crap, and pretty much nobody wants to wave around like a spaz when they just press a button or two.

Good news. This way you can add it later with a DLC to show us all its awesomeness or lack thereof, without the risk of alienating your customers. Smart move.

Well at least even if it's included, it may be an optional download. An option I can safely say I won't be taking.

A step in the right direction.

They might make it useable later, probably.

This is good, I dont want to buy a £100 eye-toy to play the games I want...

It's kind of funny since he was riding on it. But I'm glad as well, I want to play it even though I was let down by the last game. Hopefully the same thing doesn't happen this time.

Erm... I hate to point out the seemingly obvious, but I thought it wouldn't ship with Kinect support regardless as Kinect won't be released til after Fable 3 was...? So, it'd make more sense to devote all resources to the other features and patch Kinect support in later...?

I say meh, I never liked Fable, and I do not like motion controls. So for me Fable has gained a little more respect for this, but still I do not like it...

Microsoft really should not be pushing the idea that Kinect is going to be great for every single game. I'm sure there is probably already a thread listing the games that should not be considered for the Kinect, and Fable is certainly one of them. To give a blanket sweep of all titles on a console to revolve around a gimmick like that is just purely stupid if the console didn't launch with said gimmick. To bring it to the system late and then insist that all games must now conform to this new technological standard would be professional suicide.

If they work out the bugs in the system, I'll bet Kinect could have some future potential to be a good thing for some people. To say it is good for everyone and everything is just totally ridiculous. Glad there are developers that aren't going to immediately jump on that bandwagon when it rolls into town.

I don't think I'm going to buy Kinect (but i will get Fable 3) but it's good that Lionhead doesn't rush it.

Well, I guess that the apocalypse isn't 2012 after all. It's now. Peter is actually coming down from his throne among the gods and decided to grace us lowly mortals with his intellect and realism.
However, now I am actually planning on getting F3. Kinect sounds a little like that one PS2 motion capture camera, which was okay, but didn't really go anywhere. It could be interesting, so I'll keep watching it.

Fable 3 was the last chance Microsoft had at marketing their new peripheral to hardcore gamers. I personally would have loved to see what Lionhead could have done with Kinect. I mean, Kinect could have added a whole new level of immersion to the game. Now, Microsoft has to hope that the casual crowd will flock to Kinect. Giving that you also need a 360 for Kinect to work I'm pretty sure the majority of people will just buy a Wii instead.

This is a sad day for gaming. Whether you hate Microsoft or not, you cannot deny the possibilities Kinect will bring to the market. To bad these posibilities will never be exploited to their fullest potential.

Man, Mr. Molyneux is just one big shitload of hypocrite, isn't he?

Anyways, I'm glad. I hope to get Fable 3, FOR PC, LIKE THAT ASSHOLE SAID HE WOULD DO.
If I'm forced to get it on 360, then I can at least play the damn thing without any bullshit motion controls that cost me out the ass.

Lionhead's Peter Molyneux apparently changed his mind about including Kinect functionality in his upcoming RPG.
Replace the word 'Kinnect' with anything, like say, planting a tree and watching grow, and this is pretty much the same thing he does EVERY TIME HE OPENS HIS MOUTH ABOUT FABLE.

Why does anyone even listen to this man anymore? Hell, Fable had things cut that people didn't find out about until after it came out (SURPRISE for you LE buyers, you're not getting half the extra stuff we sold you!).

Seriously, he's the the gaming industry's favorite double-crossing blowhard. Do yourselves a favor, ignore him, and see what actually comes out. Odds are good half the crap he's already promised will be pruned, and what's left will need drastic patching.

Well at least they'll have more time to focus on making a good game instead of tacking on some sort of useless and needless gimmick. Other game developers would probably have still shipped it with Kinnect support even if it wasn't any good.
