Speaking of which, can you also zoom in and out (or rather, pan vertically) with the right stick? Because I found that it helps a lot when you can see the whole field when there's a lot of enemies on screen.
You should be able to. I was able to do so in my demonstration video I made for KH Final Mix HD back in March.
Wish I could honestly post that here, but that'd be considered advertising. XD

My PS3's HDMI port burnt out, but the system lasted for 7 years, so I can't really complain too much. However, this does mean I'll have to miss out on 1.5 until I get a replacement PS3. Hopefully by then a 2.5 will be soon out so I can just have the collection all at once.

My one friend has been obsessing over the trophies for the game, and I just roll my eyes. I mean, I know he's just a huge of a fan as myself and any other Kingdom Hearts player is, but it almost sounded like that's all he wanted the game for, which to me is just sad. Me, I want to play it to visit "All my old friends" again and see the world remastered in HD. And hopefully the updated camera will be a treat to play with.

Thanks. That was one of the biggest problems I had with KH1, when fighting in small rooms. Hopefully it'll help as much as I think it will.

It should help you, but the camera in Final Mix HD seems to follow Sora a lot better and doesn't tend to get caught up on as many things. At least when I've been playing it doesn't really.

Before I forget, did anyone else notice the music starting when people were talking? There's something about the music being played over the dialogue that's becoming a pet peeve of mine. In fact, the game's music timing seems off.
I might be making weird observations.

So I've started a Final Mix Proud, no continues run by picking the sword and giving up the shield.

And Jesus Christ the enemies hit hard. I don't recall hard mode being that hard before. Leon killed me in two hits. Trickmaster took about 6 tries or so, maybe slightly less. Surprisingly I managed to do Stealth Sneak in one try. Thought I was going to get destroyed and double the amount of time it took for Trickmaster. Its a nice different pace though. I never recalled using items much when I played it the first time, except for when I attempted the optional bosses. I think I'm OK now that I'm level 15 or so, but we'll see how long that lasts.

Oh, and I am LOVING the HD for this. The models look so crisp and clear, I like to just stare at Sora while he's running because of how awesome he looks.

Well, having never played a KH game, I decided to get 1.5 because hey, I don't have anything else to play. The artbook is nice but the disc lock can rot. The game's fun so far, even if the controls and battle menus could use some improvement. The whole Disney/FF fusion is loads of ridiculous though(and now I can't imagine Donald & Goofy out of those outfits, argh).

Currently at Olympus Coliseum and stuck on Cerberus; any advice?

You can jump onto his back leg and then up onto his back if you do it right. From there you can stand on his shoulders/neck and hit him in the back of the heads without getting attacked. Also, avoid that bite attack, it'll take out a huge chunk of health. Cerberus's attacks are pretty clearly telegraphed with his heads rearing back, so you should have plenty of time to dodge them once you get his pattern down.

Like Thebazilly said, try jumping onto his back with his back legs and move your way to the heads attack from back there. If you can't get onto the back go for one of the side heads and do short strings of attacks in between the bites. Also try using your Fire magic for long distance.

Spells like Fire and Blizzard if you have it work well. It's also nice to have Cure, and you get that from Deep Jungle since you can go in any order for the first 3 worlds. Also, Dodge Roll helps to get distance from you and if you know Guard you can knock Cerberus' fireballs back at him and you'll do damage and get Tech Points.

Quick question for you though, how much harder are the optional bosses in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix on Proud? Assuming I have say, Ultima weapon and what not.
I can tell you that Kurt Zisa and the Phantom are doable if you don't have the Ultima and are on Final Mix Proud, you just need to know their moveset and know when to dodge, heal, and summon Tinker Bell.

The Unknown can be a pain along with Sephiroth though since both of them have quite ridiculous reach and can combo you easily. Make sure you have Second Chance equipped along with Slap Shot, new ability. Slap shot helps when dealing with the Unknown when he's using his combo. For an example check my video I posted earlier that's the PS2 version and you'll see what I mean.

Ice Titan is the easiest one and you just need Guard really in order to do the most damage, but it takes a while. However, please note that you can't make the Ultima Weapon until you've synthesized every other item, and it requires items from a few of the 10 new Heartless in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix.

You know what I just thought about... I remember reading how in the first KH, it was possible to skip a world after you unlock Agrabah... I think the world you could skip was either Halloween Town or Atlantica...

I wonder if it still works in 1.5? Honestly, I don't see why someone would do that in this game (KH2 is debatable), but that has been something that has been on and off my mind since 1.5 was first announced...

So I finally beat Cerberus(thanks guys!) and my folks reaction to the game is a riot:

"It really is Yu-Gi-Oh meets Disney!"

"Sora's a mutant and his power is really big feet! Somebody do something about them, they're bigger than his head!"

I really want to do a Let's Play of them playing. XD

No problem. Question, what weapon did you choose and which one did you give up at the beginning, because that actually determines your final stats for the game as well as when you learn certain abilities.

But yeah the game is a riot, just be careful when it comes to LPing Kingdom Hearts games though. You do get the nice fans who love it...but then there are the fans that want nothing for you to do but Kingdom Hearts videos. *goes into fetal position on how it's been for me* >.<
The other is that the opening song, Simple and Clean, needs to be muted on your end otherwise the entire video will be muted for you by EMI Studios Japan, and there is no disputing it. Well that's if you're uploading to YouTube that is. Believe me, it can be a pain.

Just got past Wonderland, I have to say, I was pretty surprised to find that they changed the colors of the bosses.

Also, there was a scene with Riku waking up in Hollow Bastion. Is that only in the Final Mix version of the game? Because I don't remember that scene at all. :/

I choose the Wand and gave up the Shield, and after some leveling up in Traverse Town I learned Scan. Not enough AP to equip it though, my current loadout seems good enough even if a Paper Mario style tattle system is tempting. Currently at LV 14 and in Deep Jungle if you wondering(holy crap at Tarzan's abilities).

Hm, that's an interesting choice and you'll be really proficient in magic that's for sure.
If you want I can PM you the list of abilities that you'll learn by level since you chose that.
Scan is a good ability that really will help out. But you'll really want Dodge Roll and Guard to help out.
What difficulty will it be on.

I haven't learned Guard just yet; Instead I've been relying on Dodge Roll to avoid stuff.

Sure I'll take the ability list; every little bit helps. As for difficulty I'm doing Final Mix; no sense frustrating myself with Proud.
