Kingdom Hearts with Chainsaws?

I read at this link http://kotaku.com/5310597/kingdom-hearts-conceived-with-chainsaws that what, in my opinion, is the greatest JRPG of all time was originally pitched with, instead of keyblades, chainsaws. Now I cannot be the only person who thinks that Kingdom Hearts with Chainsaws would completely ruin the game and make it generic and horrible so I wanted to ask you people if you agree with me or if you think this would have made the game better.

Chainsaws do not make a game great. I don't like KH, but even I know chainsaws would ruin what KH is. Tacking on chainsaws is just stupid.

Seems like it might ruin the magic, hmm? I confess to quite enjoying KH2; as a bit of childish fantasy it does very well. Chainsaws don't really fit into that picture.
