i just found my old copies of KOTOR 1 and 2 and decide to play them both since i havent sen them in years. and after i played through them i am shocked to find out that these 2 games...well the first 1 is still good but they are Very Very Very Very Very laggy, buggy, and glichy. i could not get into no fight with more than 1 person without the game giving me massive lag. and then the game would freeze constantly. and koto 2 when i played through it was worse and feels like it was unfinished(Ironicly it was). at first i though it was because i played them on the xbox 360 but when i put it in the old xbox...it got even worse and it was not the disc since it had little or no scratches . these to games were criticly aclaimed and reached near perfect on the RPG scale. so would it not be a good idea if they ever re made these in the future. i mean after they finnish up mass effect. i mean can u immagine Knights of the old republic series with a Mass effect make over it would be almost godly. but what do yall think?

They are making another "KOTOR universe" game, it's an MMORPG called "The Old Republic." So...if you want to talk about KOTOR games with a makeover...well...that's the closest you're going to get for now.

As for the framerate issues (which is what I suspect you're getting at) yes, both games were really laggy. In fact, the second one's framerate is even worse, as Obsidian Entertainment added more "bells and whistles" to the game's engine w/o ever dealing with the framerate issues first.

If you want to play the games sans framerate issues, I'd recommend the PC version. I myself own both on consoles, but my friend has both on the PC and says those issues are, for the most part, dealt with.

... and you can fix the ending to KOTOR 2 with a fan patch. It's Win Win.

Ok, imagine Force Unleashed gameplay combined with KOTOR. It'd...be so much win.
Do it now. Do it now. Do it now. Do it now.

I just made myself sad knowing that that'll never happen.

It could happen When Bioware is done with the mass effect series

KOTOR I works perfect on my Xbox...no lag at all.
KOTOR II is a disgrace to the genre and series and should never be replayed by anyone. It's so bad that Bioware don't care what happened there and alters the storyline for SW:TOR. (I hope blackisle don't screw up the new fallout game, god's mercy on them if they do because they'll fond none by mine hand.)

I think it's that bad.
you use the entire first game to save the jedi order (if you go lightside) and then they get freaking nuked in the second? thats like giving you a yougurt and after you ate it someone tells you that the person jizzed in it.

i played them both on pc. the first game i had to edit the file just to keep the game from crashing every 3 minutes. after that it ran smoothly.
the same could not be said for the second one. i ran into bug after bug after bug. after playing for 5 hours my patience ran out and i uninstalled it.

the first one i was unimpressed by (probably partially because i just recently played it for the first time and there was so much hype behind it). the second one i was really getting into and its a shame i had so many technical problems with it.

i have extremely high hopes for the old republic. after all the technical issues i had with kotor 2, im a little worried about how well it will run but they seem to be taking their time with it so hopefully it will be well polished. it better, anyway. generally to compete with wow these days, an mmo needs to run flawlessly right off the bat. fortunately it will have the kotor name behind it so that should generate enough publicity to get a lot of wow players to at least give it a chance

A remake would mean I'd die a happy man. And maybe tweaking the combat somewhat. I wasn't a fan of D20 systems. Ok, imagine Force Unleashed gameplay combined with KOTOR. It'd...be so much win.
Agreed. I'd be happy with a KOTOR 3 also.

Yeah it runs poorly on my xbox 360 when in combat the frame rate drops to about 5fps and becomes almost unplayable. Also its buggy and so unbalaced mid way through the game as you gain force/melee power. In Kotor II. I played as a strait up melee my first playthrough and I'd 1hit everything even the final few "boss" fights I'd 1hit then cutscene then 1 hit to finish them off and that was on normal difficulty. and some fights we're impossible unless you bugged them. Seriously the fight between the twins and your pilot is the most impossible thing unless you happen to gear him a certain way or mine the area before that battle starts.

With some balance issues fixed and all the game breaking bugs worked out, it would be even more of an awesome game and I would love to have Kotor III but I doubt it'll happen

I played through kotor last week for giggles and there wasn't a single problem for me, though it was on pc not 360.

You mean "fix" the new fallout game after Bethesda screwed the universe with F3?
