Hey there guys, just thought I'd show you this new indie horror game Knock-Knock from Ice-Pick Lodge, the makers of Pathologic, The Void and Cargo: A Quest For Gravity.

A year ago it had a Kickstarter that reached its modest $30k funding goal [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1535515364/knock-knock], and now it has been released with almost no gaming news site taking notice of it.

Ice-Pick Lodge seems to have finished the game and put it on Steam without trying to raise awareness, which is an absolute shame because their games really are one of a kind and deserve to be noticed.

If you didn't already follow this game's development, chances are that you didn't know about its completion unless you managed to check the Steam news that day

Here below is a pretty nice video by slasherjpc showing off some of the early levels

This came out already? I swear only first hearing about this last month or so and could have sworn the date was 2014 or something.

I've taken a liking to Ice-Pick Lodge almost solely for their batshit uniqueness and will check this game out for sure. I like the Kickstarter page description, too.

I'm a considerable ways in and I like it. It's strange, it's creepy, it's doing a magnificent job of being batshit insane and paranoid in ways that would shame most japanese attempts at denpa (google it) but it's also unforgiving as hell. And forget holding your hand. So yeah, standard Ice-Pick Lodge stuff.

Interesting concept. The protagonist is the creepiest part of it I've seen so far though.

I hadn't actually heard about this before, but I did just buy it a couple days ago. Haven't actually gotten around to playing it yet, but it looks really interesting.

I couldn't help but notice the protagonist looks a lot like Dan.

As for the gameplay, it seems a lot like... I dunno... Paper Mario mixed with... some horror game?

Bought it on release; loving it's unconventional nature.

Actually, what I like most is watching the Lodger harrumph about like an aggrieved caretaker.

Icepick Lodge seem to participate in a more cerebral, surreal horror (not sure I want to use the word horror, even) that's all their own, and it's fantastic that they're around.

Finally got a copy since getting money to Paypal tends to take a few days

Anyway, I was worried the game would allow me to basically fool around the house since the game wasn't really punishing me all that much for "dying"... however, that stopped when I got around 2 hours in.

2 hours in, shit hits the fans and I'm actually pressured to be efficient. Gloves are off, now I experience the Ice-Pick Lodgeness in full force
