Alright, I've got some free time for the summer, so some of that of course will include reading. Now there's a lot to read out there but it can take time and money to get a hold of so I was wondering if anybody knew some good digital libraries(just to clarify I'm looking for somewhere that offers leisure reading, not just research resources) with good selection and bonus points if they offer downloads to the kindle. If anyone has some good suggestions that would be awesome.

See if your local library is partnered with Overdrive [http://www.overdrive.com/Solutions/Libraries/Public/]. If so, you just need a library card and you're good to go.

Edit: Search for your library here: http://search.overdrive.com/

Many of the classics should be available most anywhere for free download as well, due to copyright expiry. So if you want to read Frankenstein or Jabberwocky or such, do a quick Amazon (Kindle service) search for them and they should be free.

Project Gutenburg has an excellent selection of literature, not so much modern works but you're guaranteed to find most of the old classics. And yes, free Kindle downloads.

I've used scribd.com some in the past. I've read stuff like Metro 2033, a few of the old D&D books and the first forty or so books of the Walking Dead graphic novel. It's pretty hit or miss on what you can find and the site is a bit unwieldy but it does have a lot of newer stuff that I haven't been able to find anywhere else.
