i am looking for a series of podcasts that i could listen to while i play multiplayer games or when i am grinding in an JRPG, or when i am wandering around aimlessly in GTA V or a WRPG.

I listen to a lot of podcasts. Mostly because of working an office job:

Horrible Night - They're a very funny group of people. They host a lot of different podcasts (with mostly the same hosts and similar content) but their most entertaining one, IMO, is the Night Force Action Report, especially the parts where they talk about game ideas (taking a somewhat absurd concept and running with it) or when they talk about Animal Crossing. Their finest moment has to be when they were discussing their idea for an Animal Crossing NPC game.

Co-Optional - Mostly because I like TotalBiscuit. They usually have some pretty good discussion here.

Gamers With Jobs - I only just started listening to this one, but I was rather impressed. It's by and for an older crowd than most of the podcasts out there, and I appreciate the more in-depth discussion that that brings, though they do end up being less funny than say the Horrible Night people as a result.

Space Game Junkie - Mostly because I really like space games. They spend most of their time actually playing games on this one, so the video feed is preferred, if you have time for it. Since I don't have the time to single-task watching a podcast, I stick to the audio-only version, only occasionally checking the video if something sounds particularly interesting.

As for non-gaming podcasts, I like This American Life, Tech Report, Anime World Order, and ANNCast.

I heartily recommend the old Podtoid episodes, as well as Fistshark Marketing and the discontinued but gloriously juvenile Dismal Jesters [https://archive.org/details/DismalJesters]. All great ways to pass the time, but be warned, traveller: the last item on the list is cursed.

Well, Barbas already mentioned three of my top four, so all that's left for me to mention is Cox n' Crendor [http://soundcloud.com/coxncrendor].

The Joe Rogan Experience, The Biggest Problem in The Universe, The Drunken Taoist, and Radiolab are among my favourites.

Here are a few of the podcasts I like:
Welcome to Night Vale: a radio broadcast of a strange little desert town in the western United States
The Patch: a podcast about video games made by RoosterTeeth
Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me: the NPR news quiz
How To Do Everything Podcast: a side project done by the execs of Wait Wait
The Internet Box: it's...a bit immature. Many episodes before episode 100 are pretty good imo.

Laser Time/Vidjagame Apocalypse. They're technically two separate podcasts, but they're done by the same people. Laser Time largely focuses on weird/awful/The Simpsons pop culture and the like from the 80s and 90s. Vidjagame Apocalypse is about games, and every episode has a Top 5 that is often semi topical, but pretty much always unique (such as their top 5 trees, and top 5 games according to the 1994 box office).

They have a mess of other things on their website, such as articles (here's an article on all the dead guest stars that were on The Simpsons [http://www.lasertimepodcast.com/2014/08/25/every-dead-simpsons-guest-star-ever/]!), a wrestling podcast, a comic podcast, and a video game music podcast. As of late, they've also been doing gaming streams.

You can check them all out here: http://www.lasertimepodcast.com/

Here's a little taste of VGA:

I'd love to post a clip from Laser Time, but the only ones that are really on YouTube are from their Erotic Fanfiction Theater, and while they're hilarious (their reading of Integrating with Shepard-Commander is particularly hilarious), I think that if I post any here, I'll get suspended.
