Honestly, this doesn't entirely surprise me. I've worked for Kohl's before and that's exactly what a lot of the customers act like. A rare minority are on the "nice" side, but most are on the "asshole" side.

Thank you for that attempted "you should feel like a dick" post. Let me say that if this influences ANYONE into buying merchandise at Kohls then they are a corporate zombie. Also, have you bought anything EVER at ANY store? Then you are a part of the "machine".

I'm not saying you should feel like a dick.
I'm just saying you're helping the commercial do what it's supposed to do: Let people know about Kohl's Black Friday sales. You can hate the song, and hate the commercial, but chances are you've got Christmas shopping to do, and now all the people who live near a Kohl's that you've informed about this commercial now know that Kohl's is having a big Black Friday sale, regardless of how they feel about the commercial.

It's not that this song or commercial made you go 'Wow, I want to shop at Kohl's now!'. It's that you're aware of Kohl's a heck of a lot more then you were before. Advertising cannot make anyone shop anywhere. All advertising can do is increase store awareness (Or product awareness). And that's what this commercial does in spades. Especially when people who hate it insist on showing it to others! Quite frankly, Kohl's doesn't care that you hate the commercial, so long as you keep showing it to people.
