What....what was wrong with Peragus? I thought the atmosphere of that place was mysterious and creepy, and amazing.
That was the first time I've witnessed somebody express a fondness for Peragus. Nice to know I'm not alone.
I really liked Peragus the first time through. After that, not so much.

No, I love Peragus too. It's really creepy and interesting. I love watching all the logs and slowly piecing together the story of how it became deserted.

Cool. I played originally on Xbox and was slightly disappointed. Does anyone here know of a direct download site where I can buy it? Ever that or order from Amazon but that will take longer.

Not to be rude or anything, but how is this new? I've had the restored stuff since October of 2009, and I know it came out before then. Did they update it again or something? Cause from what I got the only thing that wasn't finished was the HK Droid Factory, and that was cause the person who was supposed to fix it bailed on the project.

This thread is reminding me that I need to finish the original KoTOR and then buy a copy of the second one. I'm pretty much broke now as far as my entertainment budget goes, so maybe I can stop buying new games and work on my backlog.

Now if only I could get KOTOR/KOTOR 2 to run on Windows 7...
Actually Steam has the first KOTOR on there, and it works with Vista and 7 perfectly. It's only $10, but you could also find a patch online that lets it run with 7.

Oh, I was under the impression that the mod was completed a while ago. Still, it's always good to see it.

UNFORTUNATELY I played KOTOR 2 on the Xbox.
This. I'm pretty sure this is old news.

Haha, so totally know what you mean dude, I can get it to run (Win7 Ultimate 64bit), but it starts windowed, or in the wrong resolution, and can only go up to 1600x1200 or something, which I set it to (despite being 1920x1080, missing 120 pixels doesn't matter somehow), and it looks better than 1024x800 or whatever it is. It also crashes on occassion, but frequent saving usually stops that being too annoying.

I have it on Steam and it doesn't work on Vista / Windows 7 perfectly. Check the Steam forum for it; there are a lot of people who can't get it to run :( Also none of the patches / fixes have been sucessful for me and many others.

Just crashes on launch for me. I can here the opening video play and then nothing. Just black and then an error.

Large portions of Knights of the Old Republic 2 had to be cut because of the short development cycle forced upon the developers, but the modding community found ways to restore most of the missing content after a number of years along with giving it a bit of a face lift

The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod by DStoney and zbyl2: TSLRC brings back the majority of the cut content from the original game. Many of the story arcs are now complete, planets have plenty of new content, the Dantooine battle is improved and the HK Factory has been restored.

Wait so you mean everything I missed that would've made KOTOR II complete is back, including voice work or is that done by the fans with a speak and spell or something like that.

They did a great job restoring the missing parts to the ending. As a fan of the Kreia character I was pleased.

The fight with Nihilus grants some more interesting choices, and the story feels as it should when it comes to a close based on your choices.

Watched this mod when it began, it felt like an eternity waiting. Im glad they picked it up after Team Gizka fell apart, originally they were doing it.

Now, if only the game itself didnt crash so much, it would be great. Download and install the mod, it is a must for any who played the game.

Don't quote me on this, but the droid planet was cut out relatively early in development, I think. The Restored version of it was kind buggy and not fun anyway, most flat scenery and it's pretty obvious that it didn't have much work on it.

Anyway, the Restoration Mod really makes KOTOR 2 into the game it should have been. Aside from the still abrupt ending, it adds a ton of stuff to the game. It even adds back in the best part which is in my opinion, the Droid Factory near the end of the game. It has the best HK-47 moments in the entire series, and actually expanded on his character and actually added some complexity to a rather simple (If not awesome) character.
No, I'm pretty sure you're right so, ahah, I *will* quote you on it. My understanding is that that's why they didn't just implement their already 'complete' version of the mod into the restored content mod; because it just wasn't nearly well enough done. That they're working on making it more complete and genuinely interesting is intriguing however, plus I really would like to know what happens to that one character who's name and gender I shall not mention, they were one of my favourites and their sudden off-screen disappearance at the end has always frustrated me.

Still other than that one character the missing planet doesn't really change much so I'd highly recommend this mod to anyone interested in the Kotor franchise.

Sorry to hear that dude. I thought the various patches worked pretty well, cause me and most of my friends haven't had any problems. Guess we're just special cases :(

Well I'm using a NO-CD.exe (legally bought game and all, but I cbf using the CD/DVD each time), and I'm running a shortcut to the launcher, no compatibility, Run = Normal Window

Config Utility: 1600x1200, refresh 60, Texture = High, V-Sync off, harware mouse on, unchecked all troubleshooting boxes... Just opened game then ran fine still...

OH WAIT!

swkotor2.exe properties > Compatibility = WinXP SP2, Privledge = Admin, File version and Product version = 2

Hopefully that might help?

After years of crawling I finally make an account and it's for this?

Sigh... this mod isn't worth it from my opinion, you'll find it bloats certain encounters to the point that you just want them to end... whether it be over 5 back to back entire battle sequences (not singular battles but entire encounters ranging from 40 - 50 enemies over a short distance) on Nar Shada or other unneeded things... such as the ridiculously slow and uninteresting battles in the HK factory...

I'm sorry but SOME THINGS aren't added because they just aren't good ideas in the end in the first place, not all held-off content was held-off just because of time delays.

When Gizka was making this before they went off the grid... things were really different, this... this is not worth that... I even have difficulty suggesting it to be used in a re-playthrough, especially with some of the crashes and save corruption zones you'll hit on Onderon and a few other spots.
