I don't think there are any plans for it yet because Bioware are working on an unrevealed MMO which alot suspect to be a KOTOR MMO

Not to worry. It had been suspected from some time, and there were rumors to that effect, but shortly after officially confirming collaboration with LucasArts on a title, a separate project heading went up at Bioware for it, which did not replace the one for "MMO Project".
This leaves three unnaounced Bioware development projects not specified within existing lines: "LucasArts Collaboration", "MMO", and "Next-gen project". It's possible that they're either working on two MMOs or two LucasArts games at once, but I doubt it. Next Gen has been speculated to be any number of things, among them a Jade Empire II.

Interestingly, Obsidian was set tentatively for KotOR III as well as II before the poorer sales and reception of II removed LA's "need" to get out a 3rd KotOR.

im thinking the bioware 'next-gen' will likely be mass effect related, either DLC for the first one or getting early work inon the second

Well, Mass Effect is already announced (as a trilogy), so next-gen is something else. That's kind of the point of it being "unnanounced". The DLC for Mass Effect is similarly distinct.
Then of course, you have Dragon Age, which until the EA deal was more or less on the back burner waiting for publishing and may still be.

Edit:In case you haven't noticed, I'm a Bioware fanboy who tries to keep an ear to the ground at the forums/website.

i pretty much think of mass effect as a easy to understaind KOTOR
Mass Effect IS KOTOR.

KOTOR - Light Sabres + mild adult themes = Mass Effect

I think gaming could use a short vacation from Star Wars. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the old movies, and I love KotoR, but can't I have a deeply immersive RPG about, I dunno, Star Trek or some other Sci Fi property?

If KOTOR 3 is going to be like the first 2 KOTORs then Bioware will have no excuse for all the damn problems that they can't seem to fix. I find it unbelievable that Mass Effect had a lot of the same bugs and problems that plagued the first 2 KOTORs. Other than that I can't wait for the next KOTOR.

Well I think LA getting greedy was the problem there. With a single year to make it, I'm surprised Obsidian did as good as they did.

Yuh, they had to leave out a lot of extra content like more planets, powers, feats, etc. etc. Hence someone in the internet land has actually finished the work that Bioware could not complete. I heard it was going to be available for download soon. I'll try to post it some time if I get more information.

Team gizka is the studio working on it, named after the infuriating ship-infesting chicken amphibians in the first KotOR. The left-out content mostly came out of the end. The "droid planet" which still exists in a proto-state within the game files will be impossible for them to complete, however, the HK factory and numerous other things possessed enough recorded dialogue and scene direction to reconstruct. Most importantly, you'll get to experience closure for your other party members instead of finding yourself alone on Malachor with a single sentence or so devoted to their fate later. One additional reason for no KotOR III may have been the fact that the engine became dated fast, which is prohibitive to the usual task of building a spinoff/sequel.

maybe mass effect was the new kotor you get my meaning i mean is basicly the same accept kotor provided more scarines for someone at my age (note i was around 7 when i played it).
dont think they gave enough planets on the kotor series and MMO might be a better versoin so i think they will because how can they not make another one.
