I wasn't aware that it was a DDOS, and I thought it was just regular downtime for maintenance or something. Now that I'm aware of that situation, this all makes much more sense.

Considering how many gaming websites have been hacked recently, have you guys taken steps to increase security? I kind of doubt that the Escapist would be targeted, but its better safe than sorry I would imagine.

We always take steps to secure things where we can, but I'll assure you that all your passwords are crypted and we don't store any other personal information beyond your profile info (and none of that is payment/address related of course).

That is reassuring! I don't think any hackers would want to mess with you anyway Kross.
