I have teenage daughters and they like to watch story driven games and make choices whatever. Dead people are akin to a medical show where theyre removing a tumor and they are naked. Whatever, human body, natural all that. But the "its natural" gets a little awkward when its sex, or a strip tease, Im looking at you heavy rain.

Parenting in those situations must be some kind of comical horror. I would find it super awkward having to acknowledge to a daughter of mine that some men love to use women as sexual toys, which is something that comes out in certain games. >.>

When you have daughters you realise how many modern sitcoms have literally, every single episode about sex. Its very annoying. Thank God for netflix instant and the Cosby Show, Thats a damn good show.

He said he was ok with it because its part of the detective work and deals with the hardships of it. Not just some random encounter with a prostitute etc.

Aslong as its relevant to the story and not just a cosmetic feature (a la: lady shower scene in Heavy Rain) then I see absolutely no problem with it.

OT: It's an 18 rated game so you will probably have to deal with a nipple or two regardless of the woman's pulse

You don't see anything. You know she's naked, but she's under a sheet. A recurring theme in the game is basically the corruption of Hollywood. Particularly young girls (starlets) taken advantage of by movie producers and what not.

The dead women who you do see naked aren't shown in a sexual way at all. You see they're naked, and it's just "She's naked. OK. The last two victims were naked. This means something."

There is nothing titillating in those scenes. Purely professional. Personally I thought it was well done.

I'm reasonably sure everyone on earth finds something like that horrible. Whether or not they're "straight."

If you were concerned about making a storm in the thread, you probably should be a bit more guarded about your personal, unfounded prejudices. Shouldn't it have been enough just to say, "Wow, that's an awful thing. Why did they put that in a game?" Nope. You had to insinuate it's, what, a "straight guy" thing? Or that perhaps the crime being portrayed is exclusive to straight guys? I'm not really sure.

And as for the "gawker" up there, for all I know, he's 13 and doesn't realize that child porn is still child porn even if the viewer is a child, too. There's no reason to jump immediately to the "perv" label when it could just be a child who is ignorant of the law, or something. Perhaps try not to be so quick to judge...

You are correct...and I am sorry. I sometimes let my judgments get away from me and ugh...I just lost it. I guess sometimes I just get so jaded with way society seems to be right now that it seeps in and I make statements like that.

I have read elsewhere on a parental guide that there are some naked dead victims. But it was vague on any actual relations or live person nudity.

I searched some threads on some other sites but they weren?t helpful and immediately degraded into OP bashing like.
