Possibly another pistol, with limited ammo.
This, throwing a magnum would be a good addition, being insanely powerful but having very limited ammunition. Would be a very tactical choice as to what you use it on.

Pretty much all of these, though we should turn the Theme Park into a Boardwalk-style Carnival town. Also, it would be nice to add on a Hawaiian/Tropical feel by sticking the survivors in a resort of some kind. Zombies in Hawaiian shirts=win. I also propose that we move the survivors even further into the big city, making them fight the zombies in the streets and running for a police checkpoint. Like No Mercy, but more urban and city-esque instead of the hospital.

And finally, throw in a couple of Half-Life cameos. I'd still love to see "Wake up and smell the ashes" written on the wall of a safehouse.

Shorter spawn times. I do not need to wait half a minute only to spawn as a boomer, a character whose only purpose is to die again.

A broad axe/Zweihander/chainsaw. And a flamethrower. Ooooh yes. Or a rocket launcher of some sort.

Maps maps maps maps! The game needs more maps.
Yes, L4D is great, but it becomes a little stale after doing the same exact thing over and over. I liked each map for about 3 playthroughs, but after knowing everything about them it wasn't fun anymore.

The only things I really want right this week is a fix to closet camping.
It really shits me in versus when they do it, and it's possible in too many places, especially in the final stage 5 endings.

Vehicle sections. Every game needs vehicle sections. Every shooter at least anyway...

I'm joking. I really want an update that allows Versus play on the original maps and a few more. More importantly I want these maps to be free on Live. Yes, I know they will be free on the PC but it's a multiplayer game and I know far more people with a 360 than a gaming PC. Which is why I got it for the 360 because I believe that I will get my money's worth online with my friends rather than on the PC with free mods.

itd be cool for the game to have some story. just a little at all. or to have different charachters. once someone is dead...they are dead, next room will have a different charachter skin. that couldn't be that hard to do i men, they dont even develop the only 4 charachters!!

I would like to see a magnum-type pistol and a department store level a la Dawn of the Dead. Also, if I could smash a box, pick up a board, and whack/stab zombies with it I would be happy; endless melee fun could occur.

I recently thought it would be a cool idea to put two single-passenger escape vessels at the end of a level instead of one big one, forcing the group into frantically trying to kill both the zombies and each other in order to get a spot.

Its not gunna happen, Valve said recently that it can only be free on PC. Microsoft is forcing them to put a price on the DLC thats coming out soon, hopefully it should be cheap tho.

Also you don't need a gaming PC to run it, i've got friends playing it on old systems and laptops so its likely just as many people are on PC.
I knew about that before I bought it - TF2 has reliable updates all the time on PC and they haven't even put the Medic ones up on Live yet. Even at that, Microsoft are still making them charge it. So there's a sad face for that, sure, but I'm holding out hope that they will be able to make it free after a while - like with the Gears 1 maps.

Of the people I know, 2 use their PC for gaming and the rest either have a 360 or don't care. There's more money's worth on the 360 for me because it's a completely multiplayer experience. Besides I don't mind too much about the lack of support, like I said it's about who you play it with.

doesn't need more weapons as the ones provided cover all bases.

I think a melee weapon would be a fun tactical choice. One hit drop on a zombie, perhaps even in an arc, but you give up most of your ranged function for this bash.

A handful of different characters. Again, there is no gameplay difference for them, but it gives say, 8 options for survivors rather than 4. This would also incorporate a new character when you die and leave the closet to show that the group is finding survivors along the way, not endless clones of the same four people.

New maps, of course. I liked the Hawaiian level idea.

New forms of pills, that say, give you a temporary stronger melee or reduces the damage you take from each hit rather than healing you. Or, rather than a medkit you could chose to take extra ammo pack for a single use refill of the whole team's ammo. Or a decoy like a fire alarm that would draw the attention of zombies for 20 seconds until they bash it apart.

The ability to play a horde zombie while waiting for your respawn as a special infected. Or, immediately shifting you to ghost mode and letting you move into position in exchange for a 30 second respawn timer.

What would be the point, by the time a zombie is on you a melee weapon is going to be useless next to guns.
Well hell, I didn't have anyone to cover me while I was trying to heal, so I beat them off with the aid kit until I could.

Both way good ideas.

The fire alarm wouldn't serve too much purpose different then the pipe bomb, which I already greatly appreciate.

Ok- Magnum vs pistol- Maybe. The pistols can already kill most stuff pretty much instantly, so long as you double tap (not a problem as ammo is infinite). The question between the guns would be "more powerful for a short time or slightly less powerfull as long as you want".

As for adding new guns, the shotgun and the SMG are made to balance. The Shotgun delivers large damage per shot, but has a shorter range and takes longer to reload, whilst the SMG delivers a smaller amount of damage per shot, but more shots per second. Adding another gun (I think) will upset this balance.

Having said this, I think it would be good if you could give up your pistol in favour of the other weapon (you carry 2 main weapons instead), meaning you can take a shotgun and a sniper rifle at the same time.

New weapons? 3rd type of grenade. Mines. Chuck a couple down, throw some gasoline and kerosene on top and watch as the tank suddenly becomes less trouble :)

Melee weapons... Whut? You can hit them with petrol cans, kerosene bottles, medkits, punch them, gun butt them, and even melee with molotov's! Why do you need a bat to add to that? Personally I've got into the habit of punch-doubletap-ing hoard, to get some space between us.

Decrease that 20 second fucking respawn, and do something about that fact that Infected can move a forklift into my teams fucking path.
