With Christmas coming up, the chances of me getting a game seem pretty good. My girl friend asked me what kinda games I like to play, and it seemed pretty obvious that she plans on buying me a videogame for christmas.
Even if she doesn't, I'd like to know which of the two [Assasins Creed2/ L4D2] you guys think is better. I'd say what I look for in gaming, but I honestly don't know. What I need you guys to do, is to basically sell me which game is better and why.

Thanks a bunch,
PauL

Im pretty sure Assassins Creed 2 is the way to go
nothing like random assassination to make your day
or in my case mass "stealth" slaughter

A hard decision, but I suppose the very best question is this:

Do you play online or not?

If you do play online a good bit and have the necessary amount of friends interested in playing with you L4D2 would be, as 'Yahtzee' puts it, a 'stonking great time.'

If you're more into offline and single-player games its a no-brainer. Assassin's Creed 2 is the way to go.

If you do both and find yourself with such a conflict in mind then might I suggest you pick up one and just wait until the price of the other drops? Given that you have friends playing L4D2 you could probably buy it now and enjoy it long enough to see AC2's price point drop by $10-15.

If you have played AC1 then you might have liked the story.... and you SHOULD be hungering for something to continue that story.... unless your a communist..... or don't wanna get mind fucked by another ending that makes you hurt for another game............ I like dots.

i had the choice and I got assassin's creed 2. i didn't really enjoy the first L4D that much, so I had background knowledge. of course i got the red rings after getting AC2... i would say just decide "single player or multi player" L4D2 = multi player and AC2 = single player

But thats the thing. Which is better depends on you.

I chose L4D2 because i like playing viscerally violent games with others and it's replay value is infinite especially on PC, where the user made maps (will eventually) add to the variety.

Haven't played AC2 yet, but my friends say it's a good game. If you like stealthy killing games with acrobatics and historic flavor, then you can't go wrong with it.

Never played L4D2, but then again I'm not much of a multiplayer person anyway. I can say from experience that AC2 is a lot of fun, has a good narrative and is an overall vast improvement on the first game that, depending on how sidequest-happy you are, offers between 25 and 35 hours of solid singleplayer gaming.

AC2 if you prefer single player, L4D2 if you prefer multiplayer.
yep and modern warfare if you like both and cheap sequels.
Yes, because Modern Warfare's single player mode is entirely equal to that of Assassin's Creed 2.

Asssassins creed 2 definately a great improvement on the first game and is fanfreakingtastically awesome. With emphasis on freaking and awesome. Its got great single player game play and some parts are actually pretty challenging. L4D2 on the other hand its got pretty decent multiplayer but the online currently fails with the release of Modern warfare 2 (im making the assumption that your buying these games for the xbox360 if not then disregard the online bit.) I wouldnt say that L4D2 is a vast improvement from the first one. So i would have to say AC2 would be the best choice.

I got both and I'm generally enjoying Assassin's Creed 2 more.

Is it just me or did Left 4 Dead 2 get much harder on Expert than the original was?
