Wow. This seems like a stylistic change to a more Team Fortress 2 look. Coupled with the bright sky, I think they're trying to brighten things up.

Who knows, they may continue to work on L4D in this case. The game looks great though.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to killing zombies in a nice tropical sunny climate. Sort of an intro to Day of the Dead feel to it, y'know?

I just can't shake the feeling that this could've just been DLC.

Alright, alright, the zombies look different and all that, but I'm not sure whether or not I'd pay 30-something euros for new maps, characters and melee weapons.

Well, that sounded more sane in my head. I guess what I'm trying to say is, they could've just scrapped the new zombie skins and make it DLC instead.

No, that didn't come out sane either.

Edit: Alright fine, the graphics seem updated too. Okay, I get it. But L4D has been out for a year, do we really need a sequel already?

Edit 2: I just realized the graphics may not be updated at all, that was just a cinematic.

Remember people, the beta survivors in the first one changed, the same will happen to the second.

Looks like this game is trying to appeal to those who didn't like the first one too.

Still don't entirely believe this is real.
As it stands, I'm still playing L4D and enjoying it, I really think they are jumping the gun with a sequel, if this is true.

It's more than that, the whole AI director is getting an overhaul, and the game will be a lot more dynamic than before. Hopefully we'll also be able to damage the zombies in a more interesting way, as we could see in that little teaser. I think L4D 2 will flesh out the game concept a lot more than the original L4D, wich would definatly make it worthy of being a sequel.

I don't understand all the "What? Already!" reactions to his. It's just a teaser lads, it's not as if the game will be in shops next week.

I'm interested to see how the melee weapons are implemented. Will they take damage? Will the chainsaw need petrol? How will it affect the Vs mode, which was so famously dogged by over-meleeing until the patch fixed it?

Is the lad with the frying pan Frank from Dead Rising? There's a similar suit in that game. He should at least be called Frank.

Speaking of Dead Rising, are they taking a sequel cue from that game? Nondescript town changes to Las Vegas. Nondescript town changes to New Orleans. Both cities fit their respective games perfectly as far as I'm concerned.

How do you mean? In the best way of any game ever? Fanboyism aside, I do think they were extremely well judged for the game it is, it feels perfect.

What's your zombie poison?
Night of the Living Dead shamblimg zombies?
"You gotta shoot em in the head" zombies?

Why, how are zombies supposed to be handled? I loved the 28 Weeks approach they took with it. Fast zombies ftw.

On topic: OMG DAYLIGHT!

Chances are, it's real. [http://www.l4d.com/blog/post.php?id=2553]
Or they're pulling an elaborate prank on us. Which is, admittedly, a very Valve thing to do.

This.
I mean, in most other games, zombies are just one type of enemy you may meet. In L4D, they're everything- they're the goon squad, they're the puzzles, they're even the scenery. Plus, they're the textbook definition of shuffling zombies that can swarm at a moment's notice.
Not like the kind of "zombie" that rides around on motocross bikes shooting at the player character.

I don't know what's more wrong with that sentence.

I. New guns.
II. New chars.
III. New maps
IV(!). AI director 2.0 that's TWO POINT OH! (lot smarter less linear)

L4D was an experiment. the new game is suppose to quadruple the experience ;)

EDIT:
(V. Ragdoll damage zomibe system)

I don't have L4D, which is something I regret but I will be getting this one.
And I have seen some videos of gameplay, and I am going to love bitchslapping zombies with the frying pan!
It's just the sound it makes, it make me want to sing "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" while using it!
