If I were an rpg character, my charisma would be minus 3789. I don't want to ruin someone's day by attempting to hit on them as being hit on by me from the females perspective surely feels like a lovecraftian horror lurching out of the darkness towards them.

It's possible that he isn't being so hard on himself as much as he's being honest. I can say that because I'm also in the heavily negative charisma side of things.

Not being able to leave the house during a particularly sunny day because of prior issues with skin cancer doesn't help with the 'cool' factor. (Fun fact: Surgery sucks when the anesthetic wears off while they're in the middle of stitching the hole in your body back up!)

Yeah I have a major league allergy to grass and I live in the Lake District which basically looks like The Shire. I don't go outside very much in the summer.

Well, as a male, I can certainly defend the guys. I don't see what's so wrong with them looking for relationships online. They might just want to make a better attempt to get to know the girl before trying to start something.

And also as a male, I will call them out as creepy, sad fucks.

I've never seen it all-out, but I was playing something once, and the first thing someone asked this girl when she joined was, "hey, are you a girl?" in that way that those weirdos have.

sad part is the above is the nicer of the things said to her most of the time. She has people hit on her and when she says no. they are chill and they play matches together all the time. I think for the most part a lot of the men on these games need to get their head check and rememeber to respect everyone not just "thier boys"

Nah my neices name is Jessica I stole it because I couldn't think of anything. The soul nommage is a decent trade off for cuddles imho.

On topic I think alot of people who game are introverts and so we all have Boone level charisma. Who better to date than each other. It's these idiots who are like 'tits or gtfo' which annoy me.

There are two types of flirty nerd guys that I encounter. The ones who try way too hard to be chivalrous and cautiously step around every move that you do, and then the dickweed ones who open with "chicks can't play games lol" and proceed to bash that tired little meme into a bloody stump.

I get hit on daily online. Sometimes it's the tolerable kind of flirting, which is at least friendly. Usually it's the "lol show me your tits if you're really a girl, but I bet you have a dick because no chick can play like us" type flirting that I have to deal with, though, because the "chicks don't play games" crowd spends a bizarrely large amount of time shadowing chicks.

Mr.K, that's actually entirely untrue. There was a gallop poll back in...2009, I think? Anyway, a gallop poll which said that 97% of 12-18 year olds are gamers. There's not much else out there in the way of research on who plays games, but just looking at that demographic....unless there is a vast majority of men in society (which there isn't, there's more females than males), it's utterly false.

Most women just hide their gender online to avoid "LOL GIRLS CAN'T PLAY" idiots, or the aforementioned flirting.

Never happened to me, but that's prolly because there are so many more guys than girls online that they might mistake me for a guy playing as a girl.

Sometimes i play with someone on tf2 for upwards of 20 minutes thinking that they're a 12 year-old boy, only to realize its an adult woman.

Funnily enough I used to play wow and there was this guy who used to be HORRIBLE to me like really bully me into the ground. A few years later I spoke to my old GM and he said the guy was totally 'in love' with me and just hadn't got over the 'pull thier pigtails' phase.

It was pretty hilarious but kind of sad at the same time.
