How old is your copy of "The Witcher"?

I remember it used to have some horrible issues with running on Vista, My computer specs could blow it out of the water yet it would always lag horrifically & sometimes not even load past the loading screen.
They did release a patch for it on the official site but it never seemed to do me much good. Apparently the newer versions run alot smoother & aren't plagued with the same problems.

I have the Witcher-Enhanced Edition, which came with version 1.4, and I went and downloaded 1.5 patch (the latest one) and the Director's Cut. It was fine/is fine most of the time, but last time I played it, it lagged a bit in chapter 1, and at the end i had to turn it down to low because otherwise I couldnt fight the Beast it was lagging so bad. And in some parts of Chapter 2(as far as I got) it was sluggish in some parts of Vizima.

Your version is much newer than mine, it's a shame I was looking forward to playing that game but the lag and extrenuous loading times made me rage.

Ya, it's a fun game, one of the most quest-y and like..lore-deep and stat-deep, but those few issues just bog it down a tiny bit, but most of the issues are because CD Projekt Red are a new company, and this is their first game I believe, so there are the few "beginners" bugs I suppose, but other than that, the Witcher is a beautiful game, and thanks again for the GameBooster link, it's helping out quite a bit for most of my stuff now.
