Quick and easy: which game you've played has got the lamest ending to it?

For me personally it was Fable 2. You have somewhat of a big fight with a whole bunch of annoying dudes, then it carries on and you finally win by killing a guy who dies with one attack. It's very anticlimactic.

I found the recent Prince of Persia reboot to have such a pointless ending...

I haven't played the prologue DLC and don't plan to.

Enslaved. It tries to pull some crazy Matrix story out of nowhere and I guess it was aiming for a crazy Assassin's Creed 2 ending twist but it just seemed really out of place and was just a terrible ending to the whole journey.

Played Blood for the PC over Haloween and that had a crap ending. You kill the final boss and the menu pops up, just like if you pressed escape at any point in the game.

Any game in the Tak series. The developers obviously had no idea how to end them, so they just stuck three different totally random pieces of crap on after the final boss fights.

Fallout 3. I think we can all agree on that. (No DLC)
You took the words right out of my mouth.
I hate it when open world games like that prevent you from continuing your game after you beat the main quest.
Far Cry 2 was like that too, except it didn't have any DLC that let you continue playing.

Monkey Island 2. It was so lame and unoriginal i nearly had to tear my own face off after how much my friends raved about the game.

Personally, when I first played God of War II, I was beyond pissed at that cop-out "The End Begins" crap. Considering I bought GoWII on launch day, I was left to simmer in that hate for quite some time before III. I was a bit dissapointed with III as well... until I saw what came after the credits.

Demon's souls was even worst then fallout 3. All you do is walk out of the kingdom... That's it, no back story or praise just "thx you can go now".

Fallout New Vegas. Ends sort-of the same way Fallout 3 ended - with some boring slideshow with some voice-over telling you about what sort-of happens with the factions you interacted with. I doesn't even give you the option to finish all the side-quests, it just ends.

Its not the ending itself that is bad, just what happens after the ending.

Fallout 3.

I wish they gave you the option to carry on (pre DLC), and the same views with Fallout: New Vegas although I haven't completed it yet...

As I just found out, DAO is like that.
And unfortuantly, all my saves were saved-over within that last ending place, not letting me go anywhere with my new dlc ¬.¬

I say Fable 2 as well. Hell if you just stand there the game ends with Reaver killing him.
I found that out my first playthrough actually. During Lucien's final speech I dared to leave to get a glass of water and when I came back Lucien was mysteriously dead. Only during my 2nd playthrough did I realise you need to hit him once to win the game. It doesn't even let you do it in a cool way. I charged up a full-power Force Push to punt him flying into the back wall, yet when hit with it he just staggered and fell like he does normally.

So yeah, the most anticlimactic final confrontation from any game I've ever played.
