LAN party games suggestion?

quake 4 is alot of runny jumpy shooty fun, had a whale of a time with battlefield 1942.

Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance is a good bet,especially if you mod it. Then there's StarCraft: Brood War and Diablo II. Outside of the RTS genre,I would also reccomend any Unreal Tournament title,Left 4 Dead,and Team Fortress 2's Mann vs Machine mode.

We would do Civ IV LAN parties, lots of fun. The turn based system gives time for... you know... an actual party too.

Second that. We used to do SMAC for LAN, now none of the old timers have the time for it unfortunately, and the kids around me only want to play Diablo 3 or Call of Duty.
