As much hate as I will get for this, when I was young, I loved the Jak Series. Though I only played Jak 1 and 3 heavily, they were interesting twists and additions to the Adventure Genre, twisting it from old classic PS 3D Adventure to some kind of Hybrid of lots of random stuff. It made things interesting and let me keep playing all 3 games and enjoy the storyline, as inane as it got some times. If you look at it from right after the first game's release, it was something that didn't really need nor exceptionally deserve more, in my opinion, but it did, and wasn't that bad of an outcome.
Another thing that must be thought about: Expansion packs and Sequels are different, to a point. I personally thought some of the things they added in Wrath made me wonder why I spend all this time leveling up my RPG character just to drive around in a car to try to kill things.
As a Side comment, I'd like to point out that the Sims games will never be able to be beaten as my "Lord of Sequels", and that Godwin's Law should be modified to Include Final Fantasy 7 (From what I saw up above.) I really doubt they will ever remake that game, and I'd love if people would stop asking.
