Im having a few of my mates around for a LAN this weekend and im wondering if theres any different games we can play. We have kind of done all the usual PC games to death like CoD4 TF2 L4D CS and Starcraft etc..etc. Plus Halos been done to death on 360s.

Can anyone suggest something thats fun for people to play over probably 4 360s or 7 PCs? If its a 360 game that you suggest it would be even better since we can just go down the video store and hire it out. I think we just need something a bit different to play.

Wow, I forgot about that.

Anyway, UT? Counter-strike if you're into that?

Maybe a coop action RPG title, like diablo 2 or something?

What do you like to play? Genre and such..

Any genre as long as it has easy to get into multiplayer. Diablo takes a bit of time to get going with people having to level up and change classes about 100 times at a lan. Unless we hack to level up a bit.

UT/UT2k4 + Mods. Lots to choose from. Also various Battlefield based mods. Use bots.
Diablo II (hacked characters recommended).
Streetfighter IV (if you had a Wii I'd recommend Brawl).
Any seriously challenging/long but simple singleplayer game as a spectator sport. Braid and Spelunky works well for this. Take turns.
Racing games in general.
Other sports games in general e.g. Fifa
GTA4 has multiplayer doesn't it?
Heroes of Might and Magic series.
Worms series or Liero clones if you prefer realtime.
Quakewars if your systems can handle it.
RTS which people are familiar with (RA3? Age of Empires?)
Any game that benefits from computer mediation e.g. Poker, Diplomacy, Carcassonne

No genre is easy to get into unless you've played previous titles, but I know what you mean.

A game you don't have to play for 5 hours to unlock or get to the good parts.

That said, most old action-packed FPS games - (UT, UT2K4, Q3A) work.

Battlefield online with friends is VERY fun - you'd be amazed at how much a small focused squad can do in a 16v16 battle.

Download a million Half Life 1 mods, man that is fun. Especially with more than 4 people.
