The final seige in Viking: Battle for Asgrad. It's damn near LOTR trilogy worthy. And the parking garage in Dead Rising is just.......insane.

I played a DOW skirmish that took the best part of an afternoon to finish. When I was done the was a two metre high pile of Chaos obliterators in front of my base.

Custom Game: I used map editor in an old RTS Age of Empires (the first one) and so there were about 20-25 types of units per faction, and so on the largest map possible, I made 4 factions in each corner, no terrain, each had a Wonder to kill, and about 100 of each unit, so basically around 800 units per faction, and so basically whoever was 1st player had to fight 2400 other units, but it wasnt too bad considering that theyd attack each other as well, but to get any type of result it took like 3 hours, but it was the best game ive ever played haha, due to the massive carnage.

Non custom game:
I was playing Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, and so I was playing my friend online, and we were both guard and had the same idea, we spammed basic guard units and chimeras, with a command squad, and maxed out all the advisors and techmarines, and we met in the center, and so it was probably 150 men and 20 chimeras each lol, it was friggin awesome. (obviously we agreed to wait til we had enough resouurces and then wait til we had our armies full to do that)

other than that i cant think of anything

Assassin's creed here, I once took out well over 60 various guards and templars without ever breaking combat, I don't know the exact number but it went on for a very extended period of time. eventually the game crashed. (PC)

R:TW, I had a battle with 6000+ barbarians against my force of a few hundred Macedonian Pikeman who were defending a bridge. The Pikeman won easily.

Though the Dynasty Warriors games get an honourable mention, but I usually don't end up with much more than 1000 kills (though a friend says he got over 2000 on one level).

Lair had a lot of goons to kill, but mostly just pixelated foot soldiers to blow up from above.

And lastly in RF:G, I have gone toe-to-hammer with some large bunches of EDF troops. Probably wouldn't have been a problem for Zhou Tai (favorite Dynasty Warriors mass-murderer), but Mason got through it no problem.

Does the 1000 Heartless battle in Kingdom Hearts 2 count?

Otherwise, I should mention an interesting moment that occured when I broke out the original Starcraft just for kicks and, due to a combination of inexperience and fear let the enemy build for nearly an hour before attacking during the final mission. The Overmind's 2 broods do not seem to have food caps- wave after wave would appear, to the point where advancing in anything more than one huge army of combined units with Missile Turret support was suicide. Final score for me? 1691 kills in the ten minutes it took to reach the Overmind, plus the sporadic attacks at my bases. I would estimate at least half of those 1691 Zerg would be Hydralisks (suprsiingly few Zerglings).

i was gonna say that too.......1000!!!! ON HIS OWN!!!!
and it still managed to suck! who would've thought? on topic though, i'd have to go with any point that isn't a boss battle or puzzle in god of war. Usually they swamp you with just enough enemies to keep you from not looking badass. Also, was playing a game of dawn of war: Dark crusade, and it was a 3on3 battle online. Well, by the time the whole thing was over, my partners and i had killed a combined total of 14,000 of our opponent's units, while losing about 12,000 of ours (we had to charge a hill that was severely defended). This is probrably my absolute favorite gaming moment, because it was such a long and arduous battle that it was glorious to see the flag of the ANGRY MARINES risen above the first of the enemies critical points (which happened to be the most heavily defended). It was only a matter of time from there, and i struck the killing blow. It was awesome. 14,000 enemies total. it was nuckin futs.

Dead Rising of course.

Other than that, the ending of Assassin's Creed where you have to fight 20 guards every 2 seconds or the 10000 (or 1000 can't remember) Heartless in Kingdom Hearts 2.

In Heavenly Sword there is a stage where you have to kill 500 enemies... It felt dumb and repetitive, kind of like playing a Dinasty Warrior game.
