How the hell did they build Rapture, and second, how the hell did nobody notice? Seriously, it's an enormous city under the sea - that would take years to build (and apparently it was built prior to or around the 50s, and therefore building something like that is pretty much impossible) and millions upon millions of dollars. And apparently it's in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean - how would you get the building supplies out there? It doesn't affect Bioshock in anyway, it's just something I've always wondered.

Well, seeing as it is never explained, how the Russians got to America undetected in MW2.
And I will now prepare to be told how by someone hopefully.
and explain it, i shall-remember in "cliff hanger" where you were told to retrieve an ACS module captured by the russians? that ACS module is a key component in the surveillance systems for the US. and probably the russians were able to crack it, thus allowing them to freely bypass the american surveilance systems.
I just might be incredibly retarded but I thought you and Soap get the ACS module, how did the Russians get it? Unless I'm an idiot and Soap works for Russia.

How about the entire bloody game!

My favorite plot holes involve just how the hell somebody allows their capital city to be surprise attacked in all the Ace Combat games.

Especially the last one. Seriously, can you suck more? You're right next to a country known to be hostile to you, and you just let them walk in and take your entire country from you. Good job.

How do you bypass the combined ELINT might of the USA? Did someone spray black paint over every camera we have in orbit? Did nobody notice the mysterious gearing up, transporting of their military, loading them onto planes and ships and then said disapearance? What the hell was NSA doing? And the Navy!? We have ships in every sea and ocean. What about radar? It's a little hard to not notice a cloud of contacts boring into your air space.

The second one is: JUST HOW THE HELL DO RUSSIANS TAKE THE WHITE HOUSE?! OF ALL THE PLACES FOR THEM TO SEIZE, THE WHITE HOUSE IS NOT IT. As long as there was an American citizen or soldier alive in Washington, DC, they would fight to the death there. And then if they were overrun, lob some nuclear warheads into orbit.

as in you were sent to retrieve the ACS module that briefly fell into russian hands-idea being to prevent them from having enough time to crack it. problem is even though soap and roach retrieved the ACS module back, it was too late as the russians have already cracked the module even before soap and roach managed to recover it.

as for how the ACS module fell into russian hands-it was not stated...

but there could be many ways that it could've been stolen.

The Russians are clearly coming in from the Atlantic anyway, and just because one ACS module got nicked doesn't mean that the US and every other world power lost all things like radar, or in the case of Non-USA countries, their fucking satellite capabilities.

Plus, this is bloody America people. They don't have one defence system, nor do they tend to keep it going and trust that it still works after it has been captured. The USA would have contingency plans for something like that going missing, and they would have never trusted data that had been captured by a hostile country.

Just accept it as a plot hole. Like how a nuke can cause a shockwave in space, or how a nuke can be launched from a submarine into space, or still work in space.

Or how the hell Price ended up in that Gulag and never took the opportunity to escape before.
Tons of tactical nukes are on submarines dude. thats pretty much known to everyone.
Price was obviously using the chaos going on in order to make an escape. The invasion force was created in a matter of days, making it nearly impossible to see coming. You have very few points that are actually valid.

Firstly, the premise of Rapture was that it was to be a sanctuary for the best and most brilliant of the industrial, medical, botanical and philosophical world. Now usually, those guys have tons and tons of money, and are usually pissed off by regulations. That means you have people who want to build and expand on it, with the money and skills to do so.

Secondly, I'm sure if you were offered a job working as a builder for a ton of money, or you were offered a MASSIVE order of metal with NO QUESTIONS ASKED written in gold on every leaf on a money tree. So there, you've got the resources.

On the MW2 level No Russian, how did everyone on the last floor before you exit onto the airstrip die before you get there? I'm pretty sure they started to arm themselves on an elevator and didn't exit near the airstrip.

Even with the best and brightest in the world AND supposedly unlimited resources, the whole damn thing is still ridiculously unfeasible. Building a small pressurized hut at the bottom of the sea would be hard, especially at that time. Building skyscrapers with windows that could withstand the pressure, hell, buildings ALONE would be ridiculous. I guess they solved the oxygen thing and water and food could be imported, but creating the buildings themselves is just impossible. If its almost impossible by today's standards, it sure isn't any easier then.

I was just going to bring up Rapture, it had bugged me from the start of the game. Even with all that money how would they decide to transport all of that stuff out into the middle of the ocean. Also despite hating regulations are we really expected to believe not a single person opposed this idea or even knew about it besides the hundreds of people taking to live down there?

Isn't that the case with pretty much every zombie game/movie? Resident Evil is the only one that I remember having a reason for the zombies.

And, have to go with Yahtzee on this, Mirror's Edge. What did the government even do to become so bad and why are we running? Fun game but nothing is really explained.

Um, alright, you got the resources part covered, but can you imagine the technical NIGHTMARE that would be building a freaking city under the OCEAN? Yeah, sure, the majority of people there are smart, but that doesn't mean they're supermen who can overcome the fact that they're trying to build this massive city which is surrounded by tens of thousands of gallons of water. The other problem I have with this is how nobody seems to have any clue that this city exists (apart from the highest ranking authorities in government) - you'd have to have thousands upon thousands of people involved in this project, word would have spread.

Plot hole/mystery at the end of Assassin's Creed II
Why didn't the templar guards with Vidic use guns? I thought in the future they would have advanced past what's essentially sticks.
RPG feature logic: how can every character in an RPG carry enough items, weapons, etc. to outfit a small army?

Considering the vast majority of games today have horrible stories, I can't think of a single one that stands out.
