Now, I was playing a little game of Mount&Blade, when all of a sudden, my beloved castle Telhrog was being attacked! Oh no!
I charge to save it, and when I get there, everything looks grim. I have 203 troops, and they have 650 or so troops. However, with clever attacks, use of range, and swapping weapons with weapons of fallen foes and allies, I came out victorious.

What about you guys?

Warcraft 3

They had conquered all cities, I had one left. They outnumbered me by the thousands (or something like that)

With my last strength, I type in "All your base are belong to us"

AND I WIN! It's a miracle!

Red Alert 2.

2 Navy Seals, 1 Rocketter, 10 G.I's 4 Guardian G.I's , 2 I.F.V's and 1 Grizzly Tank.

Versus 5 Kirovs, 5 Apoc Tanks, 25 Testla troopers 12 Rhino Tanks and 200 Conscripts.

I win. With all my troops alive. And full veterancy.

Everybody who has played a Total War game must have some battles that were particularly epic. I guess one of my best (of what I can remember) was in Rome: Total War when I had about 120 militia hoplites and about 40 peltasts and won against an army of 400 Roman hastati, 120 velites, a couple of triarii and some cavalry. Because of some rapid maneuvering and good unit placement, I lost 20 men while they left the battlefield with 20 men. That, and a lot of luck.

I won in Red Alert 2 with an army of about 400 conscripts 60 rhino tanks 30 apocalypse tanks 50 flak tracks, 20 v3 rocketlaunchers 80 tesla troopers and 20 yuris.
Against an easy computer.

Oh, and I also finished the last mission of the Soviet campaing (of the same game) with 25 elite (max veterancy) apocalypse tanks. I actually lost one of them :(

In Rome: Total War I was moving one of my generals(by himself) to another army, while on the way there he was ambushed by about 600 Gauls, I fucked them up!

Same story as me. Kind of. It was me, my mate and a bottle of Jager. Although my liver took some permanent damage I walked (stumbled) away the victor.

Heh. I actually tried just how many Persians 300 Spartan hoplites will actually beat. In Rome: Total war, the answer is many. 8000 many.

But if we're talking epic, Medieval 2: total War takes the cake. 12,000 men on the field, I defeated 6 armies all allied against me, they had computer generated armies with max. money. I played the English, with just 1800 men. Longbows rule. And Janissaries suck.

Rome: Total War. It was some years ago so I don't remember the exact numbers, but I had a sum of about 2 groups of archers and 2 groups of light cavalary against some 12 groups of hoplites in phalanx. And one by one I outmaneuvered them and harassed them from the flanks and behind until they routed. That was awesome. To this day Rome is my fav TW game.
