any larpers out there, im interested, i've played D n D and many others, but my most recent group has been shattered by some down right dirty personal issues, im looking for a group but does anyone have advice on what the do's and dont's are when i find a group

Forgive me if this question is kind of silly, but LARP means Live Action Role Play, yes? Don't you need to tell us the general area before we can join you? Not really interested myself, just making a friendly point.

Do you live anywhere near a University?
Because chances are, if you do, they'll have a group.

Look up skullduggery on google. They have a weekend coming up soon (28th, 29th and 30th of October). 55 quid for the whole weekend, so bring a tent and food etc. It's pretty sweet.

See, I knew location based info would help with this. How would this helpful poster have known to recommend this event without knowing where abouts you live?

Look up the Lorien Trust as well, they do some pretty impressive events, including a massive yearly Gathering, and have a whole shed load of political RP going on as well.

Edit: A good place to start for the bigger scale LARP stuff is definitely their website or your local RP store. If you have a good place that sells roleplaying games and the like, you can normally find some tabletop groups and those can easily be involved in LARP as well.
