Splinter Cell: Conviction

Not a bad game on the whole but could have been better. I missed the 'puzzles' featured in Double Agent. The plot was weak and Sam sounded like someone with a bad throat.

one thing though, i have no idea where to post this topic so i did it here. mods, feel free to move wherever

Tetris...

Just kidding.

Um, I think the last game was... Wow, I haven't played a new game for a long time. I should come back here once I've beaten L4D 2.

Halo Reach. Campaign gets better on multiple playthroughs. Punishing but rewarding on higher difficulties. Multiplayer same-but-different to Halo 3, still not entirely sold on it.

Red Dead Redemption

A truly amazing game. I didn't experience any bad bugs, contrary to popular belief. The sound track was tear jerkingly awesome. Sucks you in, involves you and you get to be a cowboy. Great.

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.
The story wasn't the best ever, but it was good enough and the characters were pretty cool too. The combat and exploration was awesome, as was the glyph system they implemented for the game. The bosses were, for the most part, fun to verse and provided a decent challenge.

Maffia II

The city is nice and the missions are kind of fun but theres no sidequests and the ending just pissed me off.

Just finished a replay of Neverwinter Nights 2

Excellent game let down by a first chapter which drags. Great characters but too many of them causing some to be forgotten later. Ridiculous amount of replay value (ie. lots).

Not that anyone cares, but I never finish games.. the last game I finished was Wizard's Crown, or maybe a Gold Box.
I enjoy games, I enjoy them so much I move right on to the next. Different games are fun to me for often entirely different reasons.

So I suppose I have no "right" to review them.

Dead Rising 2 -
Undeniably fun: good variety in the weapons and combos, as well as the psychopath battles and survivor missions. Very creative boss fights too. The story is much better than the first, with a bit more emotional connection (despite a sometimes over-the-top tone).

Kane and Lynch 2

It's not actually that bad. However, can't the developers put these two characters into more interesting situations than just "shoot everyone"?

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition

Great story, graphics have actually aged fairly well, the NPC's are strange, to say the least, the plot makes sense (well, up until GODS get involved), and the PROFITS ARE IMMENSE!

It's like you have a money vacuum on you (well, if you visit Creeper in Caldera or the Mudcrab Merchant)

The last game I finished was Mirror's Edge. My review:

Mirror's Edge is horrendously underrated. Although the plot is a tad wonky it mostly works and it's the only game with first-person platforming controls that at least for me seemed to work. Especially since you actually feel like someone doing parkour etc. due to all the movements you need to make to ensure a jump will go correctly.

Gears of War 2

Played GoW1 on the PC a year or two back... Have the same things to say about GoW2 that I did about GoW1 - apart from a couple of exceptions (Brumak, Corpser) the Locust arent really aliens, just very ugly humans. And more importantly after two games, I'm still waiting for a damn plot!

Halo Reach.

I once heard that the perfect game is one that lives perfectly up to your expectations. If this is the case then Reach is the perfect game because it was exactly as average as I imagined it would be.
