Simple. This thread is here to discuss the last movie you watched (in the cinemas, on DVD, on TV, internet etc). Feel free to give a quick (or in depth) review, brief consensus or what not- it is your choice. I do not think I can make things here clearer thus, I start.

Today, I have watched;
Cape Fear, the original with Gregory Peck. Wonderful film with a noticeably Hitchcockian feel to it. Despite approaching 50 years old, it is still effective and chilling along with not feeling dated. 10/10

Don't Look Now. Very good, bizarre film directed by Nicholas Roeg. It is hard to discuss without spoiling it and without sounding to vague about it. Horror how I like it, in the mind. There are few scenes that have had me react to them as I did and last after the movie. 8.5/10

I think it was UP. Good movie, although I was expecting better after the way everyone went crazy over it.

30 Days of Night.

A very good vampire movie that is entertaining and at the same time makes you crap yourself and also feel uneasy with it's vampire child. Proper review to be written and posted by me some when in the future. Yay, free advertising!

9/10

Daybreakers. More movies need spontaneously combusting vampires.

Cinema: Sherlock Holmes.
Very entertaining, well handled and very well acted. Has its flaws, but I didn't care because I paid for it and I damn well enjoyed it.

7/10. Quite good, not great.

Home: Inglourious Basterds.
Holy wow... Amazing. Brilliant. Fantastic... Pretty damn excellent. My only problem is that it was too short for itself. It would have been even better as a 2 part movie so various points could be expanded on, for example:

- A more in depth back story behind the transition from Shossana to Emmanuelle including, where she fled, how she came to own the cinema, her relatioship with Marcel.
- More backstories to the basterds. The Hugo Stiglitz cutscene was awesome. Would have liked to have seen more like it. Also, more of the exploits of the basterds themselves. We only got to see a little bit of them, and they were awesome (for instance, did anyone ever reach the 100 scalp count? Did they have a party to celebrate?).
- More depth to Lt. Archie's mission, i.e. his airdrop into France, his rendezvous with the basterds, his character in general... He seems well spoken and well educated, yet slightly bad ass, and the bad ass side wasn't really investigated as much as I'd hoped.
- MOAR CHRISTOPH WALTZ. God damn he was good...

Altogether, quite brilliant. 9/10 cos there wasn't enough of a good thing.

There's Something About Mary. It was funny in parts, however it was bogged down by a pedestrian story. Maybe it was the hype, but 5.5/10.

The last movie I saw was Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Funny, doing scooby doo remakes always make me lol.

The last movie I saw in theatres was Sherlock Holmes. Good, Whitty, and had some really well played out moments.

Watchmen:

in short there are a lot of dirty, street fight scenes that any action fan would love, and plus a smexy scne for your purverts (totaly not me, ehem)

but if you havent read/are a fan of the original graphic novel then you will probably get bored by all the talking

Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome
It finished less than a half hour ago.

I liked the whole premise, the post-apocalyptic setting is intriguing to me.
