@Epona: Furthermore, I thought I knew what derailed meant, but since my idea of the definition couldn't possibly apply to this thread I must be wrong, so what does derailed mean?

no, what we did derail was a different thread, one that lasted more then a thousand pages until we decided to put a stop to it!
