I've only owned Orange Box (360 version) for 2 months and I've completed Portal about 30 times, maybe more. I would of though that after the 3rd playthrough I'd get bored of it but it's a game I can pick up to fill an hour and 30 minutes. It's the only game I can think of that's had lasting replay value to me.

Morrowind, but I've still only actually "finished" once. I usually stop playing around the middle of the Mages guild quests, a while after I become a (temporary) god by exploiting alchemy. "Temporary" meaning "It's been going for an in-game year now..."

The occasional final fantasy game (which I never finish playing through and by the time I get back to it I've forgotten the story and what I was even doing so I have to restart...)

Wind Waker - gotta love it.

Dynasty Warriors, Resident Evil 4, Timesplitters.

And Modern Warfare 2, SINGLE player.

Onyx Oblivion said:
I can pick up Legend of Mana, Saint's Row 2, or Oblivion any year and have a grand time.

I've logged 4,000 hours in Oblivion, and 350 in Saint's Row 2. Unknown with Legend of Mana, since I didn't keep track back in the PS1 era.

And I've only read my favorite book 2 times, and probably will never touch it again. :p
GOOD LORD, you've put my 1000 plus hours of oblivion too shame sir, *salutes* you are a prince among men!

(no sarcasm intended, i am both dissapointed and impressed)

OT: as was stated oblivion, dawn of war with countless hours played since 2006 i'd say about a good 2000 or so hours over the past 4 years, uncharted 2 i spent a fucktonne of time with its under appreciated and insanely fun mp and that campaign my god the campaign, not to mention baffling amounts of l4d i play.

Batman: Arkham Asylum - First game I've ever 100% completed and I love that combat system. So wonderful.

River City Ransom - I've hung onto my NES solely for this game. I'm quite certain it's the first video game I ever beat as a kid. I still remember El Nino being my excuse to stay indoors and play the hell out of this.

Scott Pilgrim vs the world: The Game - Great graphic novel, good movie, glorious game. I've haven't completed it with all the characters yet but I'm certain I'll be coming back to this game for as long as my PS3 continues to exist.

Other than those games the rest of my list would be a near endless list of games that are fun to play when you have friends over. Such as: Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mario Kart: DD and NHL Hitz (I forget which one in the series I liked best).

That reminds me: I'm playing through Bioshock for my 25th (yes, I counted) time, so I guess that that fits the bill.

Red Dead Redemption- I can just wander for hours and not get bored.

Oblivion- Not as much as some of you, but a lot.

Fallout 3- Over 300 hours, methinks.

RE4- I've beaten it 3 or 4 times now, and it still hasn't gotten old.

Weird... half of the games mentioned are like... this year's releases. How do you know if a game lasts throught the ages if it's a year or less old?

My List:

Xenogears. Beaten that game 5 times since I started playing it in 1998. I've beaten it on PS1, PS2, and PS3.

Final Fantasy 7. I've raised at least 6 Golden Chocobos in my various playthroughs. I haven't beaten it as many times as I have Xenogears, but mostly because I tend to get bogged down in side-quests on disk 3 and never actually finish the game.

Parasite Eve. Beaten the REAL final boss... twice. Beaten the "bad ending" final boss like 8 or 9 times.

Final Fantasy 10.

And finally... Saint's Row 2 and Dragon Age: Origins may be making the list. I've played through each twice, but both are still too "new" for me to know. If I'm still replaying them in five years, THEN they'll be on that list.

Also, I didn't include fighting games (like Soul Calibur) or multiplayer FPS (like Time Splitters) or casual rhythm games (like Rockband) because those are generally games played with friends when the mood strikes rather than something I play in any dedicated fashion. Also, those tend towards franchises - I don't still play Rockband 1 or Soul Calibur for the Dreamcast, I play the newer, updated versions.

- Survival Crisis Z (Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol73B6siNUY )
