Well, it isn't a video game, but a board game.
If anyone is familiar with the tabletop strategy game Heroscape, I was playing a rather big game with three friends last night. I'm pretty good at the game, at least amongst our group, especially when I pick a certain group of characters (Elves, if you must know). But I didn't this game. I wanted to switch things up. So I literally just chose randomly. I'd close my eyes, take a card, and stick with my choice. I ended up with a piss-poor excuse for even cannon fodder, but I thought what the hell, I'll just rush recklessly into this for the lulz. I put all of my move markers on a squad who's ability is to clone themselves if they die, so long as one of the four squad members is still alive, I can keep bringing them back with a proper dice roll. They die in one hit, have only two attack die and three defense. Not that good.
Well, three hours into the game, I have yet to lose a single character thanks to these regenerating annoyances (and very lucky dice rolls). My friend across the table from me is in near tears just out of pure frustration, as he has killed all but one of these guys at least five times each, and they just keep coming back.
Just the way he reacted to everything was priceless. I was literally rolling on the floor laughing. It was a fantastic night.
