Actually...... This isn't that bad.

Aren't we always saying "Yes, they can help violence along if the person was crazy to begin with"?

I mean, the lawyer still pulled this out of his ass, but at least he was nice enough to wipe it off with some toilet paper before setting it on the table.

Yeah, like video games assumed direct control of his body, implanted anti-Jewish thoughts into his psyche and made him burn those buildings down.
Hey man, I heard that's what happened to Hitler, brah.

But in all seriousness, what the fuck.

If the guy has mental problems then any medium could have influenced him. If he can't separate reality from fantasy then the problem is not what set him off, that's just the result of the larger problem with him.

Ok can anyone name a game that promotes active violence against the Jewish?

If not that whole argument is dead in the water.
What one game? He has an XBOX, he probably plays multiplayer games on XBOX Live, so...all of them?

I am this is what is...

How does that make any sense? But I guess I'm just preaching to the choir here.

I don't even know why his attorney is blaming video games. He flat out admitted his client had "emotional, psychiatric, and psychological issues" as well as "hatred for people of Jewish faith." If you can make a reasonable case for insanity, then why bring it up; unless the attorney knows his case is sunk and is trying to bring gaming down with it.

Or maybe he was violent so played violent video games. If you have psychiatric problems before playing the games (as the lawyer infers) then it is hardly the games fault that you have psychiatric problems. Heck I'm pretty sure violent video games are the only reason I have not gone on a killing spree, gives me a release for my hatred of humanity.

Hmm. Refresh my memory... what Xbox game featured bombing synagogues? Must've been DLC.

Another year, another story about someone with no background in psychology claiming video games caused some violent action, and a group of people with no background in psychology claiming video games have no ability to cause violent actions. Oh joy. Oh rapture.

Mental health was the issue, yes games may have effected him but the mental health aspect was the real cause. Either way, he is 19 years old, and even if he didnt have mental health issues, most people know that fire bombing things is wrong. An also no the difference between reality and games we play.

him and the lawyer should be put to death for the crime of stupidity.
So you want to show you dislike on the scapegoat issue "video games cause violence," by inciting violence.

That makes PERFECT sense......
