Umbra eyed over to the prisoner; it seemed she was being affected by the knight's power. Ugh... Too much longer here and I just might snap. Okay, focus. Minus is being quiet, but when he speaks, then we'll know what to do. Hopefully the prisoner will understand our intent...

"Heh heh," Magus did his best grim laugh, "I suspect she's laughing because she knows how pathetic you really are. Shackled as you are to that weak little shit Cameron. And I know about the necklace that you came from. The one at the bottom of the lake..."

Why the fuck doesn't Minus say anything? Umbra, if you have anything to add to this, please go ahead, I might run out of material soon.

"Oliver are you strong enough to walk on your own? Despite what Rachel said, I can't leave her there with those bastards." Jason said, setting Oliver on his own feet, and backing away.

Despite Rachel pretty much crushing him with her plan to seduce Minus, Jason couldn't leave his wife in Minus' tower. He was already summoning his mask and getting ready to transform into a dragon. That was the only way he might be able to take on all of those bastards at once.

"I was entombed in the necklace after killing hundreds, Cameron is weak, that is why I can surface, that is why he is a viable host" Dren said

"I don't know. I just kind of realized that I don't really need Jason, and that I could probably fling you at Minus and escape in about, hmm... ten seconds or so, saying as you have a big hole in the wall over there. So, please, let me go so I can help you guys undo what Jason and his asshole friends are trying to do." Rachel moved her hand so her palm was towards Dren, preparing to crush him, or at least fling him against the wall. At the very least, I should say goodbye to him. He deserves that much. I doubt I'd get to say that with these dicks.

Magus chuckled, "Are you saying that you've never found a willing host? My my, you must be a miserable person to be around or... you just aren't strong enough to be useful to them."

Hello? I'm your servant right now, remember? My job is to bow here and 'let the men talk'. As if this isn't incongruous enough; no, I need to stick with this, thank you. Her eye again darted to the prisoner, hoping she could catch her eye for a moment; perhaps a subtle nod would get her to see what they were here for. Or not, and she yells at me, but I'll take either. So a wink then...

"How does that work?" Magus called back, "I would think a willing host would be more willing to lend you their strength, which I think would be better than forcing you to steal scraps from them like a common tick."

Well, she does seem a lot smarter than Dren, so maybe a subtle hint that we're on her side wouldn't hurt... assuming she doesn't blow our cover. And... you aren't a servant... I hate acting like this so much its taking most of my willpower not to throttle myself.

"Yes but most willing hosts do not have power my friend, anyways the binding laws state I must bond with the first person I come in contact with" Dren said

"Regardless," Magus shouted back, "You prey on the weak, not because you enjoy it, but because you are too weak to do anything else. You lack the strength needed to enrapture the truly powerful." Magus risked a subtle gesture to Umbra.

Magus smiled from ear to ear.

Well... I've sold this about as well as I can... so...

"Lord Minus," Magus said as he dropped to his knees a few steps ahead of Umbra, "I humbly ask for the honor of ending that woman's life if it would prove my loyalty to you."

Rachel smiled a bit more. "Sorry, but... I don't think this is working. Say hi to a guy named Mr. Gray when you meet him." She blasted Dren with a massive blast. At the least, it would blow him back, and, at the worst, it would liquefy him. Fuck it, I'm out of here. If I can get to some place safe I can just wait this out, or find Jason and kick his ass for leaving me here. I can't believe he left me here. Seven years, for Christ's sake, and he leaves me here because I said I'll try and kill this guy and I might have to sleep with him to drop his guard. God...

Oh fuck it. Let's get her out of here.

Magus ran towards Rachel and tried to grab her.

Dren was knocked back and growled. "I see" He murmured as he drew his sword and blocked the exit with a wall of fire.

Hmm... fair enough. Sorry, really tired, and I need to get so sleep soon. I'll fix it. Once again, really sorry, I'll get this fixed.

Okay, so the Black Knight here is blocking our way out... any ideas? Umbra thought as she grabbed for the chain this time; no getting burned right now. That black aura began slowly gathering around her - the room was darker with the black fire, so it would be hard to notice, but still be useful. It would appear there are downsides to your power after all. Umbra smiled beneath her masks. Now, who will determine my next move: Rachel, Minus, or our fire-spamming knight?

Since light = weaker and black = not light, lots of black fire = lots of not-light = strength! Yay logic applying to the impossible!
