"As far as I know, her daughters aren't dangerous. What's more, if Roxanne herself is to be believed the other one is too distant to even care. But like I said, we can salvage the situation when this is all over."

Rachel wasn't sure what happened or who it happened too, but she did notice something about Jason that was off. She noticed something about everyone that was off. Why are they behaving like this? I mean, Jason has to be used to me by now, Oliver would only ever really attack if there was no way to reason... and what was with Roxanne? She was always kind of sweet, never like that... She jumped from a window and softened her landing with her powers. She took off the helmet and made the armor appear as much like normal clothing as possible. She began to walk to streets, looking for any clue about where Jason might be. She looked for things like Black Fire or any other of his trademark powers. Eventually she ended her chase, realizing that, if Jason wanted to get away, he could. She eventually went back to the headquarters and laid back down on her future-selves bed, soon falling into sleep.

Minus couldn't see any of them behind him, and thought to himself, 'Maybe I should have told them how to spell Eurasia...' but shrugged it off as he skidded along the ground. he moved his left hand into the wind, and began to absorb the energy from it, 'This will come in handy' he thought again as he laid back down and relaxed, letting his hand just soak up the wind.

The gang was waiting in a fairly large warehouse. There were around 200 of them, all carrying large guns and other dangerous weapons. Their leader turned to thme all and spoke loudly, "Brothers, Lord Minus is going to need us soon. For all of those who have powers, go to the left, all of the ones who don't, go to the right."
One person raised his hand, "What if we don't want to do this?"
"Then you die" he said before taking aim and shooting him square in the chest.

All of the gang members clambered into their sides.

As the others made their own way back to base, Oliver decided he would walk. The city looked like it had changed a lot since he had last seen it, and he wanted to know what had happened. He certainly made for an odd and impressive figure as he marched his way down the street, his cape dragging and flapping behind him. He wondered if anyone alive still knew that show. He then decided it was best not to ask; bringing up thirty-year old shows to random strangers would probably be considered a bit too odd, even for a hero.

However, he was glad in a sense that he had decided to walk. It tipped him off. Something in the air was wrong; the sky was not its usual twilight-black. It was more of a brownish color. Oliver preferred not to look for omens, but throughout all his years of experience he couldn't help but make the connection between the dirty brown nights and death. On a hunch, he double-timed it back to base. But to his relief, it was still standing. He wandered in, and sought out Alex, who had requested an audience with everyone.

I'm sorry, but I'm completely lost... is the fight over? Is this a new fight now?
Are Umbra and Magus anywhere near the fight? I'm confused. Damn this headache is killing me.

<spoiler=Doctor>As Far as I can tell, fighting Roxanne is over,
Soon, another fight with Minus and a gang will happen. It shouldn't be too long. Go back to the base if you aren't there, if you are, why not try and explore the third floor? I haven't explained in detail what it is yet.
Or at all...
P.S. Its a training room, built specifically for everyone's needs...

"Huh." Oliver said, in response to Alex's revelation. "If this is something that's been bothering you for a while, I'm sorry it's caused you so much trouble, but it's really not that big a deal, Alex. In this line of work you tend to find the stranger parts of society. If you were expecting some kind of disgust from me don't worry, it's not a big deal." He paused for a moment, deciding how to proceed. "How often do I kill people?" He paced a bit pondering it. "Not as often as you might think. I don't like to jump to extremes, but sometimes it's a necessary evil. Roxanne had completely lost it, she was a danger to herself and her family, and she'd already killed dozens of people in cold blood. Even then, I wouldn't have done what I did if I wasn't sure I could prevent it from ever happening once this is all over."

"You don't have to be a killer to be a hero, Alex, but sometimes you have to make decisions that you and no one else are going to be happy about. Sometimes they turn out to be for the best, and other times you'll wish you'd never gone through with it, but the important thing is that you can keep going without dwelling on it; without letting it consume you. Something was always off about Roxanne, Alex, and without a good influence she couldn't take the stress; but you're a good kid, Alex, I'm sure you'll do fine."

Magus walked back to the HQ with Umbra. When no one else was around, he briefly held her hand. Once they were back at the base he just wandered around aimlessly until he found himself on the third floor.

Oliver shrugged at Alex's request. "I can't really say. I never thought of you as anything but 'Alex', to be honest, so I'm not sure what to tell you. Until I do, though, you might as well stick around the HQ. I've got a bad feeling about this night and I'd prefer having everyone where I can get to them quickly."

Oliver was overwhelmed a bit by the flood of questions, but tried to answer them each in turn.

"I've never been to Japan. Some old friends of mine have been, though. Renegade said that the place had grown into a big tourist industry sort of place in the last few years. For reference, that was about five or six years before the time we were brought here from, so I don't know how much it had changed in that time. He never really spoke much about it, only that he went there to bust an old nemesis of ours, and it had worked; but he ended up escaping later."

"I don't know about the internet, but I'd assume there is at least something like it around if they haven't upgraded to a different form entirely."

"Who's that?" Oliver asked, leaning over Alex's shoulder to get a look at the woman.

Huh, that was interesting... Ah well, false alarm I guess? Ah well, back to base. Umbra walked back to base with Magus. When she entered the main building, she saw Alex and Paragon at the computer, looking at something. Making sure NOT to sneak up on them, Umbra approached the desk, lifting the upper mask. "Hey Alex, Paragon. What's going on?" she asked, trying to find the appropriate compromise between sociability and whatever passed for professionalism around here.

"Yeah, I got the message," Umbra replied, pondering Alex's second question. Odd thing for most people to ask, but then... From what I have seen, Alex is rather androgynous, and the cloak kinda makes it hard to peg much in the way of morphology. Ah well, I guess I'll have to fall back to Akira's advice on the disguise subject. Umbra began walking over to the terminal. "Hmm... It's hard to say, really, but... between the two, I'd lean toward you being a girl - no offense meant if you aren't one, Alex." As Akira said, after all, society usually provides more reasons for females to hide their sex than males. Umbra looked at the computer. "With how things have been so far, I'm kind of surprised the Internet's still even up and running... regardless, it's good to see your family's alright..." she noted, mumbling to herself afterward. "If I had anyone to leave behind, I'd want to know if they were alright too..."
