Julio tensed before vines of smoke came from his hands forming to katanas before running and jumping towards Oliver. In mid-jump his feet shot out smoke and Julio flew through the air, katanas held pointed in front of him as he sailed through the field towards Oliver. The smoke behing him left a trail of dead plant life and the unsuspecting few caught in his back draft.

Jason caught the orb, crushing it in an armored hand. He was wearing his mask again, and this time he seemed in more control then before. He then turned to Rachel and frowned, thinking about how she had just attacked him, before brushing that thought aside and turning around and leaping into the fray. He could tell that Rachel was angry, but all thoughts of apologizing were brushed aside by Darkfire, driving Jason deeper into the main battle while leaving the others behind to fight each other.

Let her go, she only slows you down Jason. She is weak, and she will die... you do not need her to stand in your way! The voice laughed as Jason cut a path to the heart of the fighting.

Jason ignored the voice, but he slowly felt Darkfire's presence take over the fighting. His attacks became more violent, burning half of the street to kill one enemy while Jason cackled madly to himself. His sword was swinging in large bloody arcs, decapitating enemies and sending their bodies flying across the street. Flames began sprouting up wherever he stepped, and his enemies were simply burned alive if they tried to approach him.

Come now Jason, fuse with me and we shall end this battle quickly. It would take such little effort from you, and then we can rule over this area and enslave those pathetic humans that are left.

Jason didn't know what else to say so he nodded, and the first stages of his transformation began, flames leaping up around him to encase him in a cocoon of flames.

Oliver looked around. Jason was going insane with power. Again. Oliver assured himself that that was the first thing he would deal with after all of these thugs were dead. Second, Magus was in peril as Jean approached. That was important to handle immediately. But somewhat more urgent were Dren and Julio, both attacking with extreme prejudice. He decided that he would deal with two problems at once. He braced himself for the massive attack, and lined up Jean, Julio, and Dren so he would get them all in a single blast. A little bar at the right side of his HUD appeared, showing the power cells stored within his suit. They were full. Oliver drained them entirely, and harvested it for a single blast. By a little luck, the building Minus stood on was in the shot as well. Thanks for standing on top of an empty warehouse, Minus. Really helps my conscience get over the "blowing it sky-high" part.

His hands glowed with a literally blinding energy, forcing anyone dumb enough to look at it to shut their eyes instinctively. A few unlucky saps actually fell to the ground writhing as their eyes were burned from staring at it. And then, he fired it. A colossal beam erupted from his suit, and drove itself towards the trio of villains, and the building behind it, tearing through pavement, concrete, and more than a few thugs, disintegrating it all as it approached. Over the roar of it, Oliver shouted as loud as he could.

"SHOWTIME!"

Hivemind smashed open the door outside with his foot. His arm was soaked in blood thanks to the nano-cannon's used of his bones as ammo. He saw the figure move towards Magus. "NO YOU DON'T!!!" He raised his left arm once more it was almost limp as it morphed back into the Nano-cannon, and launched another shard of bone directly at the back of his skull.

Thank you. Your post just gave me the mental image of the charred, broken and partially disintegrated body of Jean lying on the ground, motionless and smoking. And then out of nowhere, a shard of bone smacks into the back of his skull. I'm practically drowning in my tears over here.

There is currently a bone shard going for the back of your skull. Along with an energy beam prepared to level the entire block.

Glad I could help but... Umm.. I realized I gotta run, so hivemind is about to fall over due to the fact he's used about half of his arm bone up till this point.

Julio saw the beam of energy and knew what he had to do. Julio knew his power couldn't go through energy so he decided it probably would work the other way around so Julio hastily poured smoke out all around him, it then solidified into a black diamond like suit of armor. Julio shot at Oliver at around 80-100 mph. Julio then tackled Oliver, making sure to position his body to catch most of the blast. Julio hoped this would work, if not he would be a pile of shit.

No he doesn't way 1000 lbs in that, you could probably lift him.

Well, yeah, our powers kind of resist each other, but there's kind of a limit. Normally Oliver's energy is powerful but not to a ridiculous extent. This time he's used an entire battle's worth of energy in a single attack. This is more or less condensed, glowing death.

Oliver was surprised to see one of the villains actually shooting through his beam, approaching him at ridiculous speeds. "Fuck that!"

Oliver tapped into his own energy reserves, a second surge of energy shot through, the force of impact hurling Julio away from Oliver at the same speed he had approached.

But isn't that a little over powered ending the battle and almost everyone's lives in one fell swoop?

Well yeah, but there's nothing stopping you from dodging it. Even blocking it wouldn't be entirely out of the question, but shooting throug hit at 100 miles per hour is a little extreme.

Rachel looked at Jason, who was now engulfed in flame. She tore out large pieces of the ground and threw them at Jason. "You think you can do this? You think you can spend seven years with me and then try to kill me when you're done? No, that's not working." She tore out two more giant chunks of cement and lobbed them at Jason.
