Least Favorite Modernization of a video game character

So, what is your least favorite modernization of a video game character? Did the looks/personality/ect change? What did you not like?

For me, it has to be the modern Banjo from Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. Nothing against the game, I just am not a fan of the change they made to the look of Banjo. He face looks too out of proportion. I find his nose too large and triangular for his face that sports a very high tuff of hair that perhaps even Elvis would shy away from. Also, the expressions on his face no longer have much charm with the giant mouth they gave him. Top it off with a realistic fur rendering that I personally find to be too full and thick. I prefer Banjo's original look. It had a charm and appeal that Rare was known for.

So, that is my opinion. What about you? What character's modernization do you least like?

EDIT: This isn't really meant to focus on the gameplay of the games, but the actual characters themselves.

Personally, I dislike the new Samus from Other M. Hopefully the next Metroid game will return her to her former glory.

Also with Spyro. Spyro seems to be an afterthought, an unnecessary character, his name isn't even in the main part of the title. So why did they even put him in the game? Oh... marketing. Damn it Activision. Your game looks like a good fusion of toys and gaming, and a step forward, but the cost... it is too great!

Lara Croft and her damn realism. Her whole image is based on ridiculous breasts and proportions and that is what made her famous!. Guybrush Threepwood became also a bit annoying as soon as they gave him a voice.

I'm mad about Kazooie, on the N64 you couldn't tell her gender but it looks like they tried to hard to make her feminine, Kazooie wasn't feminine, she was just as boyish as Banjo was so why did they give her make up, they may as well give her boobs and develop B+K porn!

I can agree with that. Banjo's look is just my preference. But as for Kazooie, they made her look so feminine in Nuts & Bolts that you could almost mistake her for a different character.
