Least Favourite Game in your Favourite Series

So, Escapist; What is your least favourite game in your favourite series? Why is it your least favourite?

E.G. if your favourite series is Call of Duty, which is your least favourite Call of Duty.

For me, my favourite series is probably the Halo series

Fun space shooter that I loved to play with friends. Had many incredible hours playing Zombies on Custom Games!

My least favourite game out of that is certainly Wars. Halo RTS was fun at first, but it didn't work due to a number of things. A) Very few people (especially out of my friends) played it, because of it's RTS nature. Those who did, didn't play it for very long at all. B) Halo as an RTS doesn't work. There isn't enough variety for buildings or units and C) It didn't pertain to the Halo series. It was just a bit of an oddball.

This is closely followed by Halo ODST. A game I HATED. Possibly one of the biggest rip-offs I've ever bought and should have been released as an Add-On.

Hmm... Well I don't really have a favorite series, and the two I like the most I just can't pick between, so I'll do both.
Call of Duty, well my least favorite has to be CoD 3. The single player wasn't any good, and it constantly bugged on me, like wiping out all my saves and having to start over. Multiplayer... well it was just meh. It wasn't terrible, just not fun... at all.
Final Fantasy, I know the moment I say this im going to get some flak, but I don't care I hated HATED this game. Final Fantasy 8 was abysmal, honestly I can't think of one thing, ONE THING, that I liked. The characters, the story, the combat, everything!
Ok I'm gonna stop there, so yea those are my least favorite games from my two favorite series.

On topic: It's just one of my favorite series, but I didn't like Ratchet Gladiator.
I'm glad Insomniac too another direction after that one.

Please EA, please, discard that game as non-cannon. Why did you take away base building that you've used for over a dozen games in over fifteen years of the C&C Series? Why? You ruined the gameplay!

Oh, and ODST. I rather enjoyed Wars, but ODST just made me want to cry. Especially those cinematic graphics.

On Topic - Gothic 3. I really liked Gothic 2, so I was expecting to like this too.

I think it had potential, but the hugeness of the world took its toll from other parts of the game.

Well, TF2 is my favourite game and I own both TF2 and TFC, but I have barely played TFC so I shall not comment on that. Instead, I'll go for the Dawn of War series. Out of the games I've played (DoW, WA, DC and DoW2), Winter Assault is by far my least favourite. Probably because I chose to play as Order instead of Chaos... maybe I'll enjoy it more if I get to play as Chaos and Orks instead of the Imperial Guard and the Eldar.

Final Fantasy, and FF7.

Its average, but the worst FF in my opinion. And its even funnier when you find a really rabid fan of the game and troll them. In a single paragraph they can express paranoia, hero-worship and hate.

Oh yes, FF7 thats my 3rd least favorite game from the FF series.
And those rabid fans you speak of... I know at least a dozen of them. I say one little thing about the game that can be taken in a bad way, and they jump down my throat

Ace Combat 6. :\ (Not Zero)

It was ok, but the story was definitely lacking compared to the other ones. Felt a tad bit too much like an arcade shooter compared to the others, and hey, that's saying something.

I have too many to decide :/ I will probably go with Jak and Daxter, for the sheer number of times I have finished all of them. I don't think any of them are bad in any way, but if I was forced to choose one, it would be Jak X. It's part of the series, though I wish they didn't make it and made Jak 4 instead.

Well my favorite series is the Fable series. (Odd right?) Anyways, I thought Fable 2 was a bit of a letdown. Absoloutely loved the first game, but the 2nd was missing that special something. I think the 3rd one will be excellent though.

Favorite series Grand Theft Auto. Least favorite GTA4. Why? Because all the fun from previous games is removed. They focused on graphics and realism. And not just any kind of realism. They wanted a realistic story so they cut all those fun gameplay elements to accommodate the story. So no more buying property and nice clothes and stuff, no more car mods cause Niko wouldn't do that. Well fuck Niko, I want to do that I don't give a shit about what Niko wants. And with all that realism they aimed for you could still blindfire with a rocket launcher! Tht didn't bother them apparently. GTA4 is one of the worse games I've ever played. And I'm not exaggerating. I barely made it to the end of the story. I was so freakin' bored the entire time.

The Kotor series: Kotor II

The first Knights of the Old Republic is probably one of my favorite games of all time and one that I remember very fondly. I don't have anything against Kotor II, but I honestly don't remember much about it, and that says something. Ah, and apparently it was an unfinished mess, which I didn't really notice when I played it.
