Command and Conquer 4.

Please EA, please, discard that game as non-cannon. Why did you take away base building that you've used for over a dozen games in over fifteen years of the C&C Series? Why? You ruined the gameplay!
I see I am not alone in my loathing of C&C 4. I actually think they were trying to copy Ground Control, which was an excellent game. However, they failed, badly.

Not only was the gameply bad, but the acting was disgusting (except for Kane), the units bland, and the plot senseless. It is pretty much the only game I've ever regretted buying.

Probably Splinter Cell Conviction. It's not that I don't like the the new game play, I was just disappointed by it.

One of my favorite series is Super Smash Bros. However, unlike most people, my least favorite game in the series is Melee. I know, I know, I should be drawn and quartered for that, but hear me out first.

One of the first games I ever played for a large amount of time was the original Super Smash Bros. I play it all the time with my friends even today, so it still holds up quite well. Then, when the Gamecube came out, I decided to get a PS2 instead, thereby missing out on Melee. I played it once or twice at friends' houses but I found the controls far too slippery and everyone was waaay better than me at it.

When the Wii came out, the second game I bought was Brawl, and I fucking loved the hell out of it. I went back and played Melee some more at a friends house and when I finally got good at it, I enjoyed it a whole lot more. It's an excellent game and it added a TON of stuff to the series. However, it will always remain my least favorite.

tl;dr version: Melee's a great game, but I don't like it as much as Brawl and 64. Plus, the fanboys constantly yelling "BBAAAAWWWW BRAWL IS TOO SLOW YOU LIKE, CAN'T WAVEDASH AND META KNIGHT IS OVERPOWERED!!!!" just piss me off.

The first two Zelda games I guess, but that's too easy, they're old as dirt.

Oh, I guess Tekken 5 dropped the ball by being inferior to 4 in every single way.

I'm with you there. Melee seemed to be lacking a little something, I don't know what... It wasn't as replayable as 64 or brawl anyway. I guess I prefer the slower pacing as it's less of a messy button mash and you can plan your attacks better. 4 player brawl has some of the best multiplayer matches I've ever played too.

From the Splinter Cell series, Double Agent, which was regressive beyond even Pandora Tomorrow, which had fantastic stealth missions.

I was disappointed at Conviction for taking away even more of the stealth, but at least there was only -one- mission where you run around in broad daylight with no access to stealth mechanics whatsoever.

Call of Duty is my favourite series.

Call of Duty 3 sucked arse. I'm hoping that CoD: BlackOps will be good enough to achieve my forgiveness, but/because that would make it one of the greatest games ever in my books. Only time will tell.

Until then, fuck you Treyarch. Fuck you with a brick wrapped in barbed wire. (I'll admit there's a lot of hate here).
World at War made up for CoD 3. Black Ops is on a clean slate for me.

O.T. Halo 3 ODST is my least fav game in my fav series.

...I don't have a favorite series but...

Bioshock was definitely better than Bioshock 2

I hated Final Fantasies VIII, X and XII

That expansion for World in Conflict was really insubstantial, but that doesn't really count.

The original Metal Gear Solid 3 (Not Subsistence, Subsistence is awesome)

Devil May Cry 2

Probably Prince of Persia 2008

Castlvania Dracula X (A bit too difficult, even for a Castlvania game)

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

Oh man I feel your pain so much as well. I got it on the release date and paid the sixty bucks for it and an hour into the game I was enraged. I like playing my new PC, but I wished it was a console game so I could have returned it and made maybe 30ish bucks back at gamestop, but since it's a PC game you're stuck with it.

And the voiceacting was bad. And why did they give us a wife? What about the female players? And who said we wanted a wife? Ugh. And the ending... *sigh* It feels like they picked some random bum off the straight who doesn't understand a single thing of the universe and made it up as he went along.

Well my favorite series Baldur's Gate only had 2 games (3 if count ToB seperate for SoA) and both of them were great. My least favorite of the 2 would be the first one... but that's like saying my least favorite of chocolate and chocolate-chip-cookie-dough ice cream is chocolate.

Final Fantasy Series: Final Fantasy IV.

I know the game is loved by many fans. But the story just seemed slapped together to me.

IV is followed closely by IX... though I've realized that my dislike of IX stems mostly from the fact that Lindblum's BGM gave me headaches.

Favorite: Zelda.
Least Favorite: Phantom Hourglass.

By all means, it's not a bad game, but definitly the low point of the series. I didn't mind the whole "One big dungeon" thing... the first three times. At least they put in a checkpoint in after a while, but by then the damage was done, the hatred had set. The characters were ok, the story was ok (WWs story was a hard act to follow), but the sailing was actually downgraded from WW. Like I said, not bad, but from a series that usualy gives great, that's not a good sign.

Final Fantasy, and FF7.

Its average, but the worst FF in my opinion. And its even funnier when you find a really rabid fan of the game and troll them. In a single paragraph they can express paranoia, hero-worship and hate.
After hearing everyone talk about not only how Final Fantasy VII was the best Final Fantasy game, but the best game ever I had to check it out. It was pretty good... but it didn't really sell me on the series. Then I checked out Final Fantasy VI and absolutely loved it. It's one of the best games I've ever played, but for some reason it doesn't get as much attention.

And my favorite series is Metal Gear Solid and I don't really like Metal Gear Solid 1 as much as the others. I think it's mostly because of the controls, but all of the other games are superior in my opinion.

I agree completely. FFVII was by far the weakest Final Fantasy.

From Final Fantasy, 11, 13, and it will include 14

First off, Final Fantasy MMO, no its an RPG, not an MMO...oi....

As for 13, it looked good, but I didn't feel like it was final Fantasy, even the opening was a different song :(

Civilization 3 for the Civ series.
Hearts of Iron 3 for the Paradox/Europa Universalis/grand strategy series.

Is there an echo in here?

Devil May Cry 2 for the Devil May Cry series. So. Horrible.
Gladiator for the Ratchet and Clank series. The developers tried to take away everything we loved about the other games when there was really no need to. I never really understood why they did that.

well i dont play too many series that i dont like, if i like one game, then more then likely i will like em all, hell i even didn't mind fable 2.

but if i had to pick one, it'd probably be ff8 or tactics.

ff8...the whole leveling with you and how the magic system worked...god dammit that pissed me off so much, you go from the materia system of ff7 and how awesome it was and how it WORKED..to that broken mess..

idk, if i played the game and it wasn't labelled "final fantasy" and played it 10 years ago, i might have enjoyed it

and tactics, played 4 hours of it. i love strategy and i generally like ff games..but god dammit i could not like it. not one bit.

there are a ton of games that i try to love..on pen and paper they sound right for me, but when playing them i either fall asleep or get so bored i notice the dust falling from the screen...then i know its just a bad game for me.
