Least Satisfying Video Game Ending

the final boss fight in Gears of War 2, i litterally beat the infected Brumak with one hand behind my back. There's no strategy to fighting that thing, i almost wished that Skorge didn't die at the begining of that act so that i could fight him one more time

Since other people said most of the ones I was going to say i'll just throw this out there as another one (though not my least favorite). COD 4 annoyed the hell out of me because I bust my ass trying to get through the last missions on veteran only to have the last part be doing a last stand like scene where all I have to do is shoot the guy in slow motion with my pistol, LAME!

KOTOR 2. the ending just isn't there...

I second that, I remember going "Whaaaaaat, that's IT?!" and then throwing a tantrum like a 5 yo. Made me feel like I'd wasted a whole lot of time for nothing.

Yeah, the ending to KOTOR 2 stunk. My sister spent the whole game trying to get together with Atton & was pissed at the ending.

Goldeneye 64, you go through all those levels just to see Bond make out with the russian hottie but she's not a hottie because they're both made out of blocks of colour. Even more of a kick in the nuts if you played on 00 Agent!

Once you beat the grand campagin its just a message saying "Good Job"

The game is epic though.

I know, they do that in just about every game in the series!
At least Shogun had those cool endings that tied it to the Modern Day.

I'm voting for Fable. After finally defeating Jack of Blades, the game went just "well done!". Not even an epilogue...

It was Fable the lost chapters on the PC.

Just checking; the XBox one was even shorter (the whole section after defeating Jack of Blades for the first time is an epilogue to the XBox version). Although the fact you could carry on playing afterwards also sort of counts as an epilogue (though with no more quests it seems rather pointless).

Assassin's Creed followed closely by Prince of Persia 2008. At least with Assassin's Creed, I know it's going to be a trilogy so it deadened the horrible WTF? effect at the end. Prince of Persia, however, made me want to drive to Montreal and choke the shit out of Ubisoft. Thankfully, for a mere 800 Microsoft points, I can buy the epilogue to fix the clusterfuck at the end of the game.... after I'm finishing playing it the second time through. I'm a gutton for punishment, I guess.

alot of bad endings available. but i still hate FFIX for killing DAMN YOU at the end without so much as a cutscene. At least FFX had an overdramatic airship leap.

OK, this being an 'ending thread', I was ready to assume spoilers. But god dammit, at least put some effort in NOT ruining it for others. Just say you're disappointed and why, but not THIS explicit. You could've just said "death of one of the most important characters" or something.

I just got to the third disc, and now I don't even feel like playing it anymore :-/

Also Patapon. Huge cockslap at the ending. You spend hours trying to reach a goal, and when you think you've reached it, it turns out to NOT be what you thought it would be. Thus Patapon 2 is basically another journey looking for that one thing, Earthend.

Got to be halo 3. What a turdy ending, even if you were to see the hidden end it is still a load of crap. Either that or Brother in arms: Hells highway!

Also, I never managed it, but I heard the end of Xenon (or maybe it was Xenon II) ended with a single white pixel in the middle of a black screen...apparently it was some sort of joke about the TV service being switched off late at night...

There's probably a few that just go to end credits that I can't remember by way of being absent rather than just memorably bad.

Oh, and the ending in Tekken # whatever when jack has rescued the little girl and then he gets shot by the satellite...Noooooo it's so sad...*cries*

Assassin's Creed. Finish the final boss, get a cutscene with about as much closure as a fucking Star Wars trailer and end credits.
Leaving something open to a sequel is one thing, leaving it more open than HMV's doors during the January sales is just bloody infuriating.

I found the game to be really great (great story, great controls etc..), though it did get kinda repetetive, but so does just about every game out there in this day and age, but the ending was a let down, especially after the big plot twist at the end.

Sound off on the game you feel had the least fufilling ending you've seen. For me, it was Draken 2. Watched my sister play that game & beat it & we all agreed the ending sucked.

For me it is those adult games you get. It was very dissapointing and my keyboard didn't work as well after.
