KOTOR 2. Either it's a 4 second cutscene of the ebon hawk falling into the cracks at malachor V, or it's a 4 second cutscene of the ebon hawk flying away....

Rushed production makes bad endings.

I found the ending to Bioshock very very frusterating when you gave into tempation and harvested just one Little Sister it made you sound worse than Hitler. The good version is better in my mind but its such a pain to get to that ending that its almost not worth it.

The new prince of persia. I was like WTF! I just spent my time trying to get Arhiman into the damn tree and you let it out!!
Believe me that ending is great compared to the DLC one.

So many. Most recently, Gears of War 2 irked me quite a bit. You fight your way through hell and back, destroy humanity's last safe haven to destroy an enemy at war with itself, and essentially cause more damage to your own human race than your enemy, and all you get is "BUY GEARS OF WAR 3 TO FIND OUT WHAT EVERYTHING MEANS"

People are going to buy the game anyway, just give us a damn proper ending while you're at it.
Hmmmm

Yahtzee's world of no Sequels Idea and endings with Closure actually is starting to sound like a really good one

Seconded. A thousand times seconded. I could beat them silly for that DLC ending.

MassEffect, Fallout3, Fable2, GearsOfWar2, Halo2, GodOfWar2, the list goes On...

Mass Effect? Are you serious!? Personally, I thought the ending to Mass Effect was great. Actually managed to perfectly balance offering a suitably dramatic and complete ending and leaving the path open for a sequel.
Although the story was a bit to much (as Yahtzee the almighty said), but overall I liked the story and the ending too.

At the risk of sounding unoriginal, Fallout 3 was pretty lame. Just under two months now, though, the DLC will descend from the heavens and extend the storyline!

The ending to Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, I really wanted the game to eventually tell me what the fuck happened to Pearl and Maya and the rest, besides just Phoenix between games. I though they'd do it after the credits, but nooooooooooooooo!
Damn,I hated the ending.I wanted to find out about those guys.

My vote goes to Pokemon.
"Yay! You are the Champion! Now catch 400 more pokemon and get a certificate!"
WTF?

I'd have to say Half-life 2: ep 3

It was just too short and I kind of guessed that was going to happen.

EDIT: poo, the 3 is just next to the 2, obviously I meant ep 2

I didn't think Half-Life 2: Episode 3 was out yet. Anyways, yeah, gotta wonder how Bethesda tends to change the ending of Fallout 3 so that you DON'T die of radiation if you sacrifice yourself. Maybe you don't actually die & someone dragged you out. But w/e. Another game with an unsatisfying ending was Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War. Mainly because it's a rather lackluster conversation. Hell, not even an awesome fully rendered cutscene like the intro to the game.

Maybe they will change the ending so that you can send in the radiation immune NPC after all. Or maybe what happens is (as those who finished the Wasteland Survival Guide will know), due to another side effect of Moira's anti-radiation treatment, you start to come back to life after a short while... Or the big robot tears the roof off the building and lifts you to safety. I'm sure they'll think of something.

Or perhaps Three Dog descends from the heavens in his super radio station/battle fortress (that was buried beneath the GNR building all along), tosses you a lead-lined fridge to hide in for a bit and then conquers the Capital Wasteland with his loyal packs of three-headed dogs.

Yeah, they are mocking you in Fallout 3 if you have Fawkes with your, or the ghoul companion. They could go in without being harmed, but won't.
