"And we done that"? I seriously hope you're not from an English speaking country because then you have an excuse otherwise you just proved my point that even though English is considered more important it still isn't taught properly,

Yeah, read my previous post to find out why.
Sorry to be a prick but that rebuttle was aimed at Zen
Yeah, we went to the same school. I probably should have mentioned that.

Rebuttals on the internet bounce off like water off a ducks back. Zen is living proof that a thick skin and a persistent mind can win any debate.

Jeeze, you complain about the classes, but not about they're system for dealing out punishment?
'Group punishment for a crime only one person did? That's a great idea!!!'

Hate that hehe, once had the teacher explain that, "I know some of you didn't do anything wrong but...y'know?". No I did not know why the majority are punished for the actions of the few, actually, in that sense is it supposed to get the others to gang up on the person being punished for getting the whole class into trouble? It's even worse in reverse when you're the only one who -hasn't- been shouting and throwing stuff around and was actually working but still get punished because of everyone else. Pheh.

So true, I hate that. Fortunately most of my teachers realized I never did anything and would exclude me from punishment.

They don't even look further into it afterward. -_-
But if they can point the blame on one person, even if it was a multiple person thing, they'll dismiss it.

I was the same way when the "punish the entire class" thing still worked (so up until about 8th grade). I was always the one in the corner with my nose so far in a book I didn't know what was going on, and I was (you won't believe this) so shy and quiet that my teachers knew punishing me was pointless. It was usually "Nobody gets any candy today. Except Lauren." Upon hearing my name, I'd usually pop out of my book for a moment to reply "Hmm? Did something happen?" My entire class would then go *facepalm*. Rather entertaining when I look back on it.

You do that too, not notice what's going on until the teacher says your name? One time the class was acting up and I was being quiet and reading and when the teacher punished them she said "Except for Ryan", then I started defending myself saying I didn't do it. ^.^

My 6th grade science class might as well been organization class. We didn't ever learn about science. I wrote 20 pages of notes about organization and the rest of the papers were blank. No science at all. Luckily until 8th grade English and History until I left High school it never arose again.

We also ask ourselves why we go to Mount Doom and back.

Honestly?

"Its about the skills you learn doing the work"

"So then Mr. York, instead of using math to learn reasoning can i play video games?"

"...no"

My most useless thing was in basic science class. Honestly, no joke, nearly every year from the ages of 7-16 we learnt about volcanos. Nearly every fucking year. All I need to know is I see a mountain go "BOOM" and see red shit flowing towards me, I run.
Honestly public schools have alot to answer for. No wonder I wagged and studied other shit at the library.
At least exploding is cool the first and maybe second time. I had to do the water cycle so many times. Tell me this, do you give a crap about how a glacier is made? What about what "Percolation" is? Good idea, studying other things, though.
