Well, the raid on Youtube on all of Bieber's videos was a bit much.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that most of his horrific songs are from producers who are looking to rake in the dough, and he has no creative control. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if this was true. However, he still goes along with it and his voice is really obnoxious. He is also a really good representation of what a lot of people hate in pop music these days, so he's an easy target.

I just avoid listening to him when possible. If there's a DJ around... I cover my ears.

I hate him because I used to work for a magazine distributor, and I had to stare at his face for anywhere from 8 to 14 hours a day. He'd be on anywhere from five to eight covers, him and thw twilight crew and whatever kid the teen girls are swooning over. Honestly, I can't stand any of them, and I don't care enough to hate on them, but when I had to stare at them all. day. long. it got old, real fast. AND then they all got into the scandals involving these people and other magazines picked it up, and it was just too much. Utter hate. For him and all celebrities. Most of them are worthless humans anyway.

Sorry to say but its a sad town you live in, 8 different magazines with covers of him? Are you his next door neighbor and distribute local magazines by any chance?

OT: It will get old, you know how teenages are (the escapist teenagers included), in a few months they will find something new to bash on. Just leave it.

It's not the town, it's the magazine. Here's a short rundown of magazines that have Justin Beiber, and the guys from twilight whose names I honestly don't remember.

Pop
Quizfest
and a few other tween magazines, as well as Life specials on Beiber, Taylor, the the twilight guys individually, together, and at least one for each movie. And not only do I have to look at them when I put them out, but EVERY week until they expire.

I'd be hard pressed to call these people "singers" let alone "artists."

Probably because he is a package of all those traits? And before I get lumped with all the people who feel it is their duty to tell everyone. I agree Justin Bieber is horrible in all respects and just leaving him alone and letting him do his thing may sound fine. But culture builds on itself; an easy example is children's books. When Harry Potter was popular there were lots of magic and fantasy books. Another example is Twighlight it got popular now there are lots of spin off vampire relating teenage books. If Justin Bieber is popular then more up and coming artists will have their image altered to mimic Bieber.

Here in lies the problem with letting him be; culture doesn't improve and then mainstream music continues to suck. If people complain then at least someone will be an "Anti-Bieber" of sorts and he/she may appeal to the people who hate him. (Trolling/Ranting complete)

i hate what he represents, and since he does it willingly, i hate him too. What he represents is the breakdown of modern culture into something simple and dimwitted, willing to accept any sound that emits from any mouth as art and willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars for blobs they call "paintings". Art died in the 80s, when people like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera were born. The advent of gangsta rap and all that other synthetic crap is what caused the fall of good music.

What Justin Bieber is, is basically a robot. Him and his music are entirely formulaic and based more on appearance than actual skill. The only reason people like him can be "stars" is because of how they look and how their churned-out appearance is so inhumanly superior to normal organics. I will not stand by idly and just "let it be" as tweenage and teenage girls lose their fucking minds over every new "face" (which is all it is, faces) that invades the pop culture scene as though they were 5 year olds and the ice cream man was coming.

Also, the hate comes from men in general, who become more and more rejected as these assembly-line idols raise women's expectations to astronomical levels. Never mind personality, that's dead, it's all about looks, so the average guy (who doesn't wear three layers of Axe and wear stuff exclusively from "Abercrombie & Fitch"-like stores) doesn't stand a chance. And it's always been this way, so I don't wish that we could go back to any "good old days" because the last time women weren't so shallow is when they were completely ruled by men, and those days sicken me as well.

All in all, I just hate it when our pop-culture is populated by synthetics that may as well be cyborgs or test-tube babies for all I know. I also hate that the general population has set their standards so low for art, where a douche-bag playing 2 chords on a guitar gets everything while those of us who actually strive to work on our technique and actually be able to play more than the same 3 songs over and over again (just listen to pop, it's the same crap ALL the time, and if it's not the same, then it's the same as the last time they tried to do something different) are left to rot.

Well, it's not like anyone listens to people like me anymore, I may even get flamed for this somehow or have someone point out how I'm wrong about my own opinion...

EDIT: I don't give Bieber special treatment, I hate all pretty boy/girl/questionable-gender idols that confuse young minds and make their self-esteem suffer.

I don't like him because he's made himself tons of money for doing bugger all work for it yet here I am training to become an IT technician and at the end of my road i'll be lucky to make a fraction of what he's got in the last couple of years in my entire lifetime.

And the really annoying part is I know that dick will manage to waste all that money in the next couple of years on absolutely nothing.

I dont like him, infact, id like to punch him... he is just that sort of little brat. i dislike anyone who looks like that. oh and he cant sing for shit, yet he has so many people liking him. His fans are idiots who think that he is what cool is, and if they be like him they too can be rich (When if he was in a normal life, he would probably be on drugs/alcohol by now and a little shit who will be going to prison soon).
