Left 4 Dead 2 Demo and why I should buy L4D2 over Killing Floor?

OK so i have a rule not to buy games before trying them, I have spent way too much money on kool trailers and finding out the game does not meet expectations.

Have spent all of five mins playing l4d on a mates 360 and I don?t play fps on consoles so struggled and never really got the feel for the game. So I heared there will be a demo for the new one (woot I get to see finally if i really like l4d games) so I look it up and find out its only for people who have pre ordered the game, now that?s not a Demo, lets look at what wiki says.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_demo
"A game demo is a freely distributed demonstration or preview of an upcoming or recently released computer or video game.

Demos are typically released by the game's publisher to help consumers get a feel of the game before deciding whether to buy the full version."

So am saddened to find out this is not really a demo but a early relise for people who pre ordered threw steam.

Anyways I played the 2 day demo steam did for killing floor, I liked it and loved the gun system and dark feel to the game, I know its a game I wont play much but its a cheap game at that I can play now and then, what does l4d have to offer that makes it more expensive then Killing Floor?

First of all, "heard".

Second - L4D2 has as much in common with Killing Floor as Mass Effect has in common with Knights of the Old Republic.

Settings are the same, but they are totally different games to begin with.

L4D2 - COOP. Coop, coop, coop.

Killing Floor - killing a lot of zombies. But not as focused on cooperation as L4D.

Also, pre-orders get the DEMO (it's a demo, damn it) before the rest of us get it. They can play now. We can play from November 3rd. I mean, if you aren't really interested in L4D2, you shouldn't care about that week longer.

Preorderers of Left 4 Dead 2 simply get the demo a week before everyone else. Sit tight and wait like a good boy.

You also get the "early access" demo for pre-ordering it at Gamestop, and if you end up not liking the demo then you can cancel your reservation on it.

Oh we wait longer, am sorry that made some people rage but I was going by what I read and this was not stated, yes I can wait a week. As for coop not being in Kill floor, play it on hard, you have to stay together or you die in seconds.

Be patient you greedy so and so. The demo comes out for all people, pre-ordered or not. You just have to wait a bit longer than the people who manned up and parted money.

Just be patient, good things come to those who wait etc...

You won't get very far if you don't though, at all. Same as L4D.

I'm just going to wait till the public demos out and then get the game. I'm poor. :(

Do you require a teammate to help you get up, save from the zombies, or to push something off you in KF?

Or you can just illegally download stuff like the sane people do and see if you like it.
I hope someone sane downloads something from your house. You don't need your TV, right?

Will anyone be able to take down a fleshpound if everyone is doing their own thing and not helping out?

Note I never said anything about L4D not needing co-op... (actually I said the opposite)
Just you won't get far in KF without teamwork.

The fact that once your dead, that?s it till next round, and then you lose money and most of your guns, and if someone dies there?s more chance of getting wiped out, makes it more important for you to work together?

My god, I'm getting pretty damn sick of this poor and flawed comparison. You played only 5 minutes of the first L4D and you suck at console FPSs, yet you think you can really say that you think Killing Floor is better? Besides, L4D2 isn't even out yet!

Coming from a consumer with both titles, I think this sums it up..

Killing Floor is more "Survive this wave" rather then Co-Operation from your other teammates.

While it is true that you do need more then one person for Killing Floor, they don't feel as vital as they do for L4D.

When did i say its better? I asked why is it warth the more money it cost, seeing that i now know ill be able to play the demo next week and desided for my self on which one ill buy, this thread is pointless and will get trolled by people who do not even read what is written.

Your overall post plus the title implies that you think Killing Floor is better. But ok, if you think the thread is pointless I'm not going to argue. HAH, you think I'm trolling? Please, you've got no idea. You're just hiding behind trolling because you can't take the criticism.

How about deeper gameplay? Characters that aren't annoying? Good graphics? More than 4 enemies? A campaign that offers more than Horde Mode/Nazi Zombies/etc. Playing as infected people?
