Steam seems to be collapsing under the strain.

This morning was terrible. It took me 2 hours to get Steam to finally let me download the demo, and now I play the waiting game.

Oh? Didn't you preload it?

I only brought the game this morning so had to preload it about 10 am and took me till 12 to start downloading.

Ah, poor you. Yeah, Steam gets crazy near big releases - why Valve don't put on extra servers around these times is beyond me. Its not like they can't afford it, heh.

Set your download region to somewhere else, I found out about this when the Crash Course update came out for L4D.

Righto - well, that explains the different in expected times, heh. On the plus side, seems as it I'll get the demo at 7pm, not 8pm

I'm still pissed off as I pre-ordered the fucking game from Amazon and I don't get to play the demo. I refuse to pre-order at GAME just to get the demo because it's about 10£ fucking quid dearer over there.

On a lighter note, tell us what the demo contains when it unlocks, pwease? *makes puppy eyes*.

I pre-ordered from Gamestop, yet have gotten nothing. I know they have my email because they send me newsletters. Yet they have not sent me any sort of L4D2 information.

It says it on the Pre-order demo access card I got from GameStop. That is for the 360 version if you're wondering about the Computer one I wouldn't know.

I read somewhere that it was the 3rd of November! Can someone clarify this!
